I love that Amanda brings out something different in Danny - see to me in this story he really isn't "Carbomb". Another facet of Danny's personality is emerging - just as Amanda is slowly and cautiously emerging from her grief.

I guess that is the sign of a great match - where one person brings out the best in the other person. Or in this case, both people! They are both being true to who they are. It is just that something new and exciting is emerging.

Okay, you've done it. I'm officially in serious like with Carbomb. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Danny is giving me butterflies, too! Seconding soupy's comment about how lovely and organic their relationship is. Each chapter is pulling me in deeper, and I can't wait to see what happens when sparks fly between these two.

Amanda is like a flower just opening up and blossoming without realizing that he beauty in the person she is!! I absolutely love these two chapters!!!!

I love how organic their relationship is - how it is developing slowly and with real depth. Danny has said a couple of times that Amanda is nothing like the girls he goes for - he really doesnt realize that he is falling for Amanda because she is so different. And they are relating on a much different level than he is used to.

And Amanda - well she was just in no frame of mind to start any type of relationship. With the level of grief that she was experiencing, Amanda was just trying to get through the day. But she is starting to awaken bit by bit - although I am sure she never thought her "knight in shining under armour" would be a 6 ft. 200 lb Canadian who was missing several of his front teeth.

But those butterflies in her stomach are trying to tell her something!!

I hope Danny stays adorable. The little shout out he did for her was the sweetest!

@ bostongirl33 - The remainder of the story pretty much alternates between his and her perspectives. I think it'll give a more complete view of where she's at mentally. She's definitely going to start pulling herself out of that hole.

@ Thatmom - I almost felt bad posting this fic because there is no interaction between the two of them. However, there will be plenty of time spent together coming up.

I love that we got Amanda's perspective in this chapter. Our sadness doesn't define us and I hope that Danny is able to help her see the light as their relationship develops.

Her note for him was a such a sweet touch.

Their presence in one another's lives without being physically in the same vicinity runs deep. Oh, and I love that Van Morrison song. Multilayered just like your characters!!

Ok, I surrender. Danny is just too damn rad. I swooned as soon as Glen Hansard entered the conversation. :)

@ Jamie Benn - It'll be a slow burn for a few chapters, but they'll eventually get there.

@ Thatmom - How funny that you should mention Van Morrison. Two of his songs on are the fic's "soundtrack" and one of them is in the chapter I just posted. My boyfriend and I have made a pact that if McCartney tours around here again, then we're going to go. I can't pass up that.

@ LoveGame13 - I'm not too good at holding sports grudges. Being a Pens fan, I definitely dislike Philly, but I couldn't help but fall head over heels for Carcillo and his hipster self.

@ H_DIZZLE - I'm so out-of-it when it comes to Instagram and such. I'm an old lady! I love that he's engaged and starting his own adorable little family. And, yeah, I couldn't use the Montador thing. That's too serious of a situation and there's no way I could do that justice.

@ soupy - Philly is a cray-cray place for sports. After I read this, I searched out the video. A couple articles mentioned that some of the fans in the front were flipping him off and his gave it right back. Yikes. Tensions running high in playoffs. I'm pretty passionate, but not THAT passionate. :-)

Love that Danny is there for her!! I think her reaching out to him is doing wonders for how he sees himself. I've been going a little old school with some Michael Franks and Van Morrison lately. Love your music suggestions. Check off a bucket list item last fall, seeing Sir Paul McCartney in concert!! He was simply amazing:)
