Well the reason it's slightly confusing because it's a one-shot. I went straight to the point and left out every single detail of why they were like this. If I get a lot of feedback I'm planning on making it into a story altogether.

- William and Laina are childhood friends and made a promise to be together. Laina gets William hurt one time and she's been afraid ever since to be near him. He gets popular and it pains her everytime he tries to be with her because she feels she doesn't desereve him. They kissed because they were so close when they were kids and William made a promise that on her eighteenth birthday he would give her, her first kiss.
