And I agree with "this Horrid romance" the facebook convo reads perfectly fine, I didn't notice anything until you pointed it out. The way you have chosen to write it fits in with your writing style. I wouldn't change it at all. The only variety I could offer would be"his response" maybe lol

You could always do something like: "he replied back" or something.
idk, but believe me when I say that most readers don't really notice. It's just when you are writing it, if it seems repetitive, you think it sounds bad.
It's kinda like when you put "He said" after every quote, but when you're reading it you don't notice it. You, as the author feels like it needs more variety, so you put witty things such as "He retorted", "he exclaimed", "Was his reply", and such.
So if you can't find something, don't worry about it so much. I didn't really notice that you kept writing it until you pointed it out.
Anywhore, great update, can't wait for more.
