One Wish, One Girl

Danii's POV

The guys were right, we had waited a long time but it was worth it, the bands were all pretty good. Kimmy and I were currently singing along to a song sung by “Just For Kicks” a band from the other side of York.

“She was all I thought about,
The girl I couldn't live without.
But then she went insane,
She couldn't take the fame
She said I was to blame
She'd had enough
And shaved five colours off
And now she's just a weirdo with no name.

Everybody wants to know her name.
How does she cope with her new found fame?
Everyone asks me,

That weirdo with 5 colours in her hair.

Everyone began applauding the band, the announcer came back onto the stage, for like the 5th or 6th time since the beginning of Battle of The Bands.

“Weren’t they awesome? That’s Just For Kicks, they have a MySpace under that name so if you want to check them out do so! Next we have another band from the other side of York, this is Sentence!” A couple of girls behind us began cheering, I turned and looked at them, they were dressed in mini skirts and tight tops, their hair platinum blonde with pink streaks.

“Wow” I mumbled, Kimmy looked back and laughed.

“Crazy” We turned our attention back to stage where the next band, Sentence, where setting up.

“’Sup guys? We’re Sentence!” The girls screamed again.

“Hey” We turned to see Lucas standing next to us, he had been backstage most of the time helping the guys.

“Hey, the guys nearly ready?” Kimmy asked.

“They’re on next, you enjoying yourself?”

“Yeah, but I’m sure this was a day for us 3, not me and Kimmy” Lucas sighed.
“I know, I’m sorry, I promised the guys I’d help them get ready, but I’m here now to watch the guys with you then we’re all going backstage”

“Us too?” Lucas nodded and Kimmy, a grin on his face.

“We can meet the bands!” I laughed and nodded. We looked back at the stage as the band got ready to perform.

“This is S.O.S” The lead singer said into the microphone, people began to cheer for them, Kimmy and I included.

“Told you I made dinner plans
For you and me and no one else
That don't include your crazy friends
Well I'm done
With awkward situation's empty conversations

They performed another song after that and it was finally time for Alex and the guys to come on.

“This is a local band, everyone get on your feet for the amazing Elliot Minor!” Lucas, Kimmy and I cheered for them as they came onto the stage.

Ali gave a wave and a wink towards me as did Ed to Kimmy. Kimmy and I looked at each other and grinned before putting our full concentration on the guys.
