Serena: A Whole New Breed of Vampire

Serena’s POV:

Alice and Rose tumbled from the car laughing as pouted saying “It isn’t funny”

“It so is” Alice said hysterically

“So I tripped big whoop” I grumbled stomping into the house

“It is funny you are like some all powerful goddess who trips over her own feet” Alice said giggling as we walked into the house

I stuck my tongue out at her just as Edward said “How did it go?” he wrapped me in his cool arms and snuggled into my neck.

“Good guess who was there?” I asked giggling

“Vickie” He mumbled into my neck

I growled “You’re no fun” I pouted at him “Esme can I stay here tonight I have clothes don’t I?”

“If your Dad says yes I see no reason why you can’t” Esme said sweetly while touching my cheek before going into the kitchen to fix me something to eat. I shook my head there would be no way I would tell her I wasn’t all that hungry

Edward shook his head reading my thoughts and I growled back to him DON’T YOU DARE!! he simply nodded into my neck

Alice handed me a cell phone and mumbled “I can’t see him”

I growled audibly “That little mutt is still there” I hissed I took a deep breath before dialing my home number.

It rang four times before I heard my father’s laughing voice say Hello?

“Hi Daddy” I said sweetly

Hey Pumpkin how was Seattle? his voice asked I heard what sounded like another basketball game playing in the background

“It was good. Are Billy and Jason or whatever his face still there?” I asked Edward stiffened at the slight undetectable edge in my voice

Yes Billy and Jacob he emphasized are still here

“Huh Ok anyways I was wondering can I stay at the Cullen’s tonight Alice wants to dress me for school in the morning?” I asked sweetly

Sure pumpkin have fun I probably wont see you until late tomorrow night, so good night princess I will see you tomorrow my dad said making a kissy noise

“Night Daddy” I said kissing into the phone then shutting it. I growled lightly and chucked the phone at Alice she caught it and giggled at my face “I’m gonna help Esme” I said stalking into the kitchen.

I’ll be right there Edward said as he threw my mind

Edward’s POV:

I made a move to follow Serena into the kitchen she was so gorgeous when she was angry I thought watching her stalk away. Edward Alice’s worried thoughts rang threw my head We need to talk I nodded and quickly told Serena I would be right back

Alice and I swiftly ran out of the house and into the woods Rose followed us “What is it?” I asked watching my sister’s faces crease with worry

“We smelt Caius all over Seattle, but no Aro or Marcus” Rose started

“And he isn’t alone” Alice said softly

“What?” I growled lowly

“The girl, Bellary, he turned her they want to kill Serena, and they are making newborns” Alice said her voice far off looking into the future “Aro and Marcus think he is recruiting they wont believe us if we tell them differently at least not Aro. They have about a dozen newborns already, but they are undetected so far, but soon the murders will be all over the news.” Alice said ringing her hands

I slammed my fist into a large old tree easily snapping it in half “What do we do?” I asked looking at them

“The only thing we can do” Alice said softly

“Prepare” Rose finished

“Fine tell the others but keep this out of Serena’s head for as long as possible” I growled before taking off towards the house.

Serena’s POV:

I leaned into Edward’s arms as they wrapped tightly around my waist “Hey baby what are you making?” he asked kissing my cheek

“Lasagna I can eat it for several days while I’m over plus it is one of my favorites” I said touching one of his hands.

“So you plan on being here more often?” He said tickling my sides as Esme put my lasagna into the oven.

“Of course” I said spinning around I kissed his cheek and snuggled into his arms “Am I sleeping in your room of Alice’s tonight?” I ask playing with the collar of his shirt my fingers lightly caressing his skin

“Mine” he said kissing my nose we both smiled as we heard Emmet and Jasper laughing and Lulu yipping she came in smeared in dirt and a bit of blood on her muzzle and catapulted her self into my waiting arms.

I growled fiercely as the boys “You didn’t clean up my baby” I said glaring slightly

They coward and Emmet squeaked “We tried”

I scoffed “Boys” I glared lightly at them all “Y’all are useless” I huffed before heading towards Alice’s room “Alice” I called stepping in

I held up the dirty Lulu who was licking my hand and Alice sighed “She went with Emmet and Jasper didn’t she” she stood up from her couch and walked over after setting down her book

“Yeah” I sighed “At least we get to us her dog shampoo” Alice smiled before darting over to Lulu’s box of things in her room and pulled out a bottle of jasmine vanilla doggy shampoo we had bought for 20 Euros in Rome.

We laughed and ran into the bath room but not before shouting “Rose we are giving Lu an bath” Rose was there after a second helping us with the water.

Rose Alice and I exited the bathroom drenched and covered in bubbles from head to toe. The now clean Lulu was struggling to get away from Rose who finally released her and she ran around the room trying to dry off and get the water from her ears. We laughed and fell in a pile onto Alice’s couch. “So” Alice asked popping up causing my head to rest in her lap and my legs to stay tangled with Rose’s “What are we wearing tomorrow?” Alice said giddily

“What did you have in mind?” I asked closing my violet eyes as Rose groaned lightly

“Well I was thinking jeans and a cute coat and top for Rose and maybe a sweater dress for my and how about a skirt with patterned tights for you or we could switch or wear the same thing. OOH or we could” I zoned out from then on and thought about my appearance

“I want to color my hair” I said suddenly interrupting Alice and causing rose to laugh

“You can anytime” Rose said still laughing

“I just meant for right now and I know that Sherlock” I said kicking her lightly “How about brown?”

“To normal” Rose said

“Black?”

“Nah not really you” Alice said running her fingers threw my hair

“Deep red?” I asked everything stopped

“That could be” Rose started

“Hot” and Alice finished

I quickly imagined my self with loose big deep red curls not fire engine but more of an auburn “So?” I asked opening my eyes that were now green

“You look” Alice said trailing off

“Wow” was all Rose could get up I slowly untangled my self from Rose and walked to the mirror I looked at my reflection I was pretty but I didn’t like it I closed my eyes and quickly switched to deep almost black brown and my real violet eyes I loved this

“I like this better” I said before changing to blonde curls and my violet eyes “this is my favorite though” I smiled at the girls before adding “this is me”

I heard the buzzer to the oven and took off down stairs to see Esme taking out my lasagna “FOOD!!!” I shouted hyperly

“Wait for it to cool” Esme said in a motherly tone

I groaned and stomped my foot “Fine” I said as I stalked into the living room to find all the boys chatting “Hey” I say walking over to Edward he smiled brightly at me while everything goes silent “What are you guys talking about?” I ask sitting on his lap

Everyone blinks slowly before Edward chuckles and says “Who is going to win March Madness this year” he kissed my nose

“Eww football is SO much better” I said before kissing his lips and standing up “I think I will go help Alice decide on tomorrow’s outfits”

Edward’s POV:

I sighed and my face became painful as my little goddess left the room “That was close” I mumbled looking at my brothers they both nodded “We need Carlisle” again they nodded

“He will be home at 11 he had a late shift what’s the matter boys” Esme said her face looking concerned

“Caius is planning something” Emmett said solemnly and so quiet only we could hear

“With the girl who hurt Serena” Jasper added almost silently

“What are they planning?” Esme asked her face grave

“Serena’s Death” I growled so lowly is was like the wind

Serena’s POV:

Alice and I took about ten minutes to pick out the outfits for school tomorrow and now it was time for me to eat as my stomach growled giving me away. Alice chuckled and said “Go eat I’ll do accessories” I smiled I laughed to myself thinking of how Alice had scrunched her nose at my choice of Nikes over boots for my outfit. I grabbed some lasagna and hopped silently on the counter. I head so mumbling in the living room I concentrated suddenly I was hit by manic emotions fear confusion and desperation were the three main feelings. Next I listened into the minds of each person I only caught a glimpse of Caius and Bellary before Edward called out “Serena get in here”

I smiled as I set down my lasagna before I sheepishly crept into the room “Hi” I said blushing. Edward opened his arm and in a blank I was sitting on his lap. He snuggled close to me and held me tightly “What is going on why is everyone so worried” I asked looking at all the faces in the room Rose and Alice had arrived and looked worried s they sat next to their boys who looked nervous and Esme looked the most concerned, but I didn’t know why.

“I…” Edward started but fell silent

“Bellary” Alice started

“teamed up with Caius” Rose said

“Oh shit” I murmured looking at Edward

“and they are in Seattle” He said looking into my eyes

“Double shit” I moan falling back into his arms “Do we have a plan?”

“We just found out today” Edward said kissing my neck “Now go get your dinner and come back in here and then we will talk about it because Carlisle will be here momentarily” He slightly pressed me out of his lap and towards the kitchen. I listened as Edward sighed and his thoughts drifted into my head along with his feelings as I reheated my dinner and grabbed a vitamin water from the fridge. I wanted to keep her sheltered from this and now she knows if that Bellary gets within ten feet of her I will kill that witch myself Edward’s thoughts growled as his feelings rushed from fearful upset and livid. I walked back into the room just as Carlisle walked swiftly threw the door he squeezed my shoulder before sitting by Esme. I repositioned my self on Edward’s lap and took a big bite of my dinner “Mmmmm Yum” was all that I said everyone laughed lightly before going back to the serious business.

“So do we know what they are planning?” Carlisle asked and Edward held me tighter I soothed him by swallowing my last bite and then turning and straddling his lap snuggling close to his neck and chest.

“We know they want Serena, and are making newborns” Rose said

Alice far off voice then added “the bodies and missing will hit the news this morning and they wont even stop because the Volturi thinks that they are collecting for the gaurd not the destruction of Serena. They wouldn’t believe us even if we tried Katrina an Marcus would but not Aro or the guards” Alice sighed

“How many newborns are there?” Edward’s chest rumbled as he asked slowly

“there are a dozen or so already changed and about a dozen of so still turning they are gathering more every day I think she plans to spot at 50 or so” Alice said I felt her terror

I yanked my self out of Edward’s lap and materialized in Alice’s I clung to her and she clung back soft sobs emmiting from both of us “No” I heard Edward growl and Alice whisper

“What?” I sniffled

“A shield. They just created a shield I can no longer see Bellary or Caius” Alice said shaking now by now Rose and Esme had joined us I lay stretched aross them my head in Alice’s lap her hands in my hair, my body in Rose’s lap and my hips in Esme’s each woman was cooing and calming me softly as the boys all looked horror stricken and concerned for me as they watched the women work to console me. I looked at Alice’s jeans and saw red. I touched my face and pulled back my tears were red they looked like bloody water I screamed and Edward grabbed me from his mother and sisters.

“Hush” he commanded kissing my lips hushing and calming me. He wordlessly carried me into the kitchen he got a soft cloth and wet it he licked his lips and I noticed some of my red tears there he groaned as he licked his lips

“What is wrong?” I asked as he began wiping away my red tears

“Those tears are part tears part blood” He groaned licking his lips hungrily

I smirked then frowned before saying “Some other time baby and you can have the real thing” I leaned into him and said “I’m tired”

“I can tell I will get Lulu and we all can go to sleep” Edward carried me up to his room and within a second returned with a sleeping Lulu we laid down in bed and I closed my eyes trying to sleep. As Edward hummed in my ear softly I drifted into a restless sleep.
