Serena: A Whole New Breed of Vampire

Serena’s POV

“Oh thank god” Esme said squeezing me tightly to her chest “I was so worried” she said dragging me to the couch she sat with me in her lap and refused to let me go. Alice and Rose leapt on us and we sat in a pile of gorgeous limbs on the couch the guys walked in a laughed fakely at the picture. Rose and Alice clung to me mumbling how worried they were. Alice freaked saying she lost all sight of me not even my normal blurs and blips she was so scared. I hushed all three vampires by saying look I’m fine not a scratch

Suddenly Rose ripped away from me “You smell disgusting” Alice sniffed and shot up nodding

Esme smelt me and winced but didn’t let go she slowly released me she kissed my forehead and said “Go shower real quick then we will discuss the upcoming events” She frowned

I shot up and darted up the stairs towards the bathroom.

Edward’s POV:

Serena left the room and everyone sighed in relief no longer smelling the werewolves all over her. The scent lingered I scrunched my nose in disgust just thinking of those mutts touching my girl made my blood boil.

“Edward” Carlisle’s voice broke me from my trance “Do you think we can take two dozen or so newborns on our own we only have 8, but we have Serena they will have nothing like her?”

“We can do it” I said watching the vision in Alice’s mind play “but it wont be easy”

“We need to begin training especially Serena she will be the key in all of this without her we have no chance” Jasper said solemnly

“Well Jaz when do we start?” Serena’s voice asked we all flipped to see her drying her wet blonde hair with a towel one of my dress shirts and a pair of short jean shorts was all she wore she padded barefoot and plopped into my lap. I brought her close her skin extra hot from her shower. I kissed her temple and she smiled. Her honeysuckle shampoo blended perfectly with her natural scent

“Tomorrow after school” Jasper said his smile nervous and hesitant. She nodded and then choked slightly

“What will I do my daddy is dead?” her tears were softly sliding down her face she had been so strong, but now I saw how this truly affected her. I read her mind she was sad but not horrified yes her father was taken but she hadn’t known him well a part of her missed him but she knew she had a large family behind her and they would help her threw everything. I kissed her neck she shivered and smiled at me softly it was a sad wistful smile

Carlisle’s soft voice met our ears “You aren’t supposed to know he is dead. Go on like nothing has happened tomorrow night call the firehouse they will search for him if his body if found him we will plan a funeral if not we will plan a service you will stay with us from now on no one will oppose I promise” Carlisle smiled softly like a sad father at Serena. She nodded sniffling

She swallowed and said in a strong voice “Where is Lu and we need to discuss strategy?”

“Lupa is sleeping” Esme said softly

“As for strategy that is my department” Jasper smiled “A new born has extreme strength but no skills at using that strength. You cant come at a newborn from the front only the sides and back.”

“WAIT!!!!” Alice screamed her hands thrown in the air. Serena and I tapped into her mind nothing it was black. Alice’s face twisted and contorted in confusion “I lost it I was seeing the battle for the most part, and now it has disappeared it is gone I can see Bellary and her army moving with Caius, but no battle”

Suddenly Serena’s Phone rang in the pocket of my jacket up stairs on our bed. She darted up the stairs “Hello?” her voice questioned as she appeared back down stairs

“We would like to help” Leah’s voice rang from the phone

Serena giggled and said “Alice I found your problem. Thanks Lee Lee we need all the help we can get rally the boys we are meeting tomorrow at dark at the Cullen’s then we will find a place to train. How many will fight with you?”

Leah scoffed “The whole pack of course”

“Thanks Leah I will see you tomorrow at six give the boys my love” She snapped the phone shut “We aren’t so out numbered now” she smirked

We all turned as we heard two light steps on the porch steps and then the doorbell ring. Serena was there in a flash she threw open the door and gasped.

Serena’s POV:

“Katrina?” I questioned she nodded and I screamed “KATRINA!!!!!!” I leapt on her and cried lightly before hiccupping “I’m in deep shit” I pouted tears disappearing from my cheeks

“I knew something was wrong” She mumble holding me close and walking us into the living room “So?” she questioned walking into the living room

Edward chuckled without humor and said “Caius changed Bellary and they have an army of newborns and are headed this way” Edward said in a monotone

“I need to call Marcus” Katrina mumbled

“That’s only half of it” I whispered hugging my body thinking of the picture still sitting in my abandoned room “Bellary killed my daddy” I whispered only a tear falling I had cried to much I knew my father was in a better place he was such a good man he would watch me from heaven I was sick of being sad. I wanted revenge.

“I’m calling Marcus” Katrina mumbled yanking me into a tight embrace.
I heard her bring out a phone but I kept my head nuzzled into her neck she dialed and I heard Marcus’s voice say in a worried done ‘Hello?’

Katrina groaned “I’m fine” she sighed

‘Good’ he sounded so relieved ‘Are you with Serena?’ he asked

“Yes we need you Bellary, the girl who tried to kill Serena, has teamed up with Caius. They are planning to come in 4 nights” Katrina said rocking us back and forth

Marcus growled ‘Let me talk to Serena’

“Hi Marcus” I sniffled into the phone

‘Are you ok?’ he sounded just like my dad did when I would scrape my knee or twist my ankle

“She killed my daddy” I mumbled into the phone no tears fell the more I said that sentence the more reality set in and yet I felt comforted by the reality that he may be gone but he was still in my heart.

I heard another growl from Marcus and then he took a deep breath and said softly ‘I will try to get Aro to allow us to go and help you I will be there as soon as I can my dear please Serena for me stay safe’

I swallowed “I will” I whispered

‘Fight as little as you can you and Katrina both I don’t want to see my girls in pieces’ He said sounding like a father again

“No promises” I whispered smiling

‘Katrina, Serena love you both see you as soon as possible’ Marcus said into the phone

“Bye see you soon” Katrina and I said together although she added an ‘I love you’

“Time for sleep” Edward said taking me from Katrina’s arms I nodded and kissed Katrina’s cheek before he picked me up and we flew to his room. He held me and cooed “Sleep, it is past one. Love you” he kissed my lips

“Love you too” I mumbled before drifting to sleep my body wrapped tightly around him

I was awoken by a weight jumping on me “Wake Up sleepy head” Alice’s voice rang.

“Let her sleep Alice” I heard Katrina scold much like a mother

“I’m up” I yawned my eyes fluttering open. I smiled sleepily at the people around me before laying my head on Alice’s stomach “Where is Edward?” I yawned looking around

“Hunting” Katrina said sitting by me and running her finger threw my hair “I’m going to school with you I’m posing as your cousin who’s parents have just left for a month on a cruise” her fingers ran threw my hair in a soothing motion

“I wanna wear sweats today Alice. How will that work you look identical to me?” I yawned stretching under Katrina’s soothing fingers

She laughed “I am over two thousand years old I can change my appearance just like the gods used too” she said kissing my forehead I nodded and hummed I felt my head be cradled in Katrina’s hands as Alice’s body left I heard her fly threw the house flip threw her closet then return to my and Edward’s room.

“Why you want to were sweats is beyond me” she huffed I heard them hit the bed and then she returned her body under my head

“Thanks” I muttered smiling up at her “What time is it?”

“30 minutes till school starts” Alice said dressed for school

“We are gonna be late” I murmured sleepily grabbing the clothes and pulling them on quickly. I stretched and yawned before feeling better and more awake

“Come on Esme has your breakfast own stairs” Alice said tugging on my hand

“Esme!!!” I sang skipping at an inhuman pace down the stairs dragging Alice behind me

“Hello darling” she cooed handing me a plate filled with homemade waffles and fresh strawberries. I kissed her cheek in thanks and sat with Alice by my side on a barstool in front of the kitchen island. I rolled my waffles up with strawberries inside and ate them like a roll up. Alice laughed at the way I was eating and smiled softly when I ate at a human pace not feeling the need to rush. After my first waffle was done I heard Alice giggle and then I felt cool stone eyes wrap around my waist tightly.

“Odd way of eating waffles, love” Edward whispered in nmy ear nuzzling me gently.

I huffed and held him closer whispering back “Are you making fun of my eating habits? You don’t even eat you have no room to talk” I mumbled feeling his lips caress my neck softly. My eyes fluttered and it was then I noticed Alice had disappeared I was to preoccupied with Edward’s lips to worry about anything though

“I do to eat well drink” he said softly in my ear while softly biting my neck I moaned not being able to help myself I chuckled hearing everyone’s thoughts Emmets were the best great they are having sex in the kitchen wont ever be able to go in there again. Good thing I don’t eat he grumbled annoyed in his head

Edward chuckled into my skin as his hands found my hips her brought me closer to his body and held me tightly his lips still exploring the soft curve of my neck. Suddenly Alice’s voice broke our happy moment she called out “Serena” We groaned

“Yes?” I huffed

“There is a freak cold front it will begin snowing later and wont stop for at least a week” I groaned when she said “You need a jacket”

“I’ll give her one” Edward answered kissing the light mark on my neck

“K” I heard her say then I heard the garage door open and Rose stared the Volvo I think and they drove away

“Will you go grab me a jacket?” Edward nodded and left Katrina came in a slightly worried look on her face

“I have a bad feeling” she murmured then added “I’m riding with you must keep up the act” she flashed a little smile before I accessed my feeling thourghly

“I’ve got a bad gut feeling to something is happening something very big” I murmured in a very worried voice. We looked at each other as a vision hit us both “EDWARD!!!!!” I screamed as I was placed in a wide open woodsy area about a hundred or so people surrounding me I gasped Caius and Bellary on a hill shouting something the words sounded gurgled and jumbled I knew though they were charging the people around me suddenly I looked around and realized almost every person was wearing bloody clothes and looked a bit dirty some even had blood rimming their mouths, but the most horrific fact was each had blood red crimson eyes. I screamed and threw myself out of the vision. I shook and looked at Katrina and whispered “Almost a hundred”

she nodded sadly “That’s what I estimated too”

“Hundred what?” Edward said I just noticed I was cradled in his lap

“Newborns” I whispered I watched as his face morphed into and emotionless mask

“I’m calling the family we need to revaluate everything” He said caressing my face

“Guess we arent going to school today I said crawling to Katrina across the floor. I frowned seeing the shattered tiles where i had fallen from the barstool “Esme wont be happy about that” I murmured as Katrina laughed humorlessly at my comment and wrapped me in her arms.
