Sam Prindle lives with her single mom and five brothers and sisters. When her mom can no longer afford to pay for all the kids, she gets Sam and her twin brother Ruben a sponsor and sends them to boarding school. Sam wasn't counting on this ever happening, but there were a lot of other things she wasn't counting on...

August 13, Author's Note: I've been asked a few times if I name my characters after real people, and the answer to that is sometimes. There are several characters in both Before It Rains and In Love With the President's Daughter who are named after real people. Sam, Elise, Brandon, Krista, and Jack are a few of the characters I've named after people.
