What would happen to humanity, if something foreign came to life?

If it slowly multiplied, and soon - there were too many.

What would happen if.. Even the mortals forces were not enough to stop the virus?

If it became too much?

If humanity hid and the virus reigned?

Would humanity arise - weak at the knees but with strength in their eyes?
