I felt like this was sort of weird. Me and Nick. Maybe it just wasn't right.
“Nick” I said
“Hmm?” he asked
“Maybe we shouldn’t be doing this.”
He gave me a weird look. “And why not?”
“Because you have Kelsey, and I have Ricky” I told him
“Are you sure you don’t hate me for leaving?” he asked
“Nick, seriously I just think…”
He kissed me
“D, stop it. We belong together.” He said and I moved away from him
“I will see you later.” I said
Nick groaned “What is wrong?” He tried to wrap me in a hug but I didn't let him.
“Nothing Nick, I just have go” I said
“D, you’re the one who asked me out tonight” he told me
“I know. It was a mistake” I said as I left

I put my hand behind my neck and sat on the couch “What just happened?” I asked myself
Kevin and Joe walked inside our house just moments after D left. “Hey Nick”
"Hey guys” I said. “What’s wrong?” Kevin asked me. “Why did you have to make D call me, why did you bring her back into my life Kev?” I yelled
“Nick, what happened?” Kevin asked me
“Nothing” I said as I went up the stairs

The next day Kevin, Joe and I went to the beach and guess who happened to be there, D and her boyfriend. Just my luck
I stared at them, “So is that your problem?” Joe asked me, I looked at him and nodded.
“Talk to her about it Nick” he told me
“Nah… Whatever I will forget it; I have a girlfriend she has a boy-“Joe cut me off.
“Who in the hell cares, obviously you are still madly in love with her.” I sighed and Joe and I walked over to D and her boyfriend while Kevin stayed with his girlfriend Danielle.
“Hey D!” Joe said to her
“Oh hey Joe, Nick” she said as she looked at me, lovingly
“Hi D” I said.
“So you’re Ricky” Joe said
“Uh, yep Nice to meet you.” Ricky said
I wanted to talk to D alone and I gave Joe a look telling him that
“Ricky want to play football with us?” Joe asked him
“Sure” he said and they walked over to Kevin
I looked at D. “I’m sorry Nicky” she said, I nodded my head
“I know you love me” I told her, “Yeah” she said quietly
“Then don’t be afraid to show me you love me” I said
“Nick you are not staying here forever, If we… get close again, you’re just going to leave again” She told me.
So this was what it was all about.
“Tell you what, if you let me love you the way I want to, I will figure something out to keep us together.” I told he
She sighed “You promise?”
“I promise” I said
“Nick” I said
“Hmm?” he asked
“Maybe we shouldn’t be doing this.”
He gave me a weird look. “And why not?”
“Because you have Kelsey, and I have Ricky” I told him

“Nick you are not staying here forever, If we… get close again, you’re just going to leave again” She told me.
So this was what it was all about.
“Tell you what, if you let me love you the way I want to, I will figure something out to keep us together.” I told he
