Addicting Emotions

Evelyn’s POV

Walking into school the next day was kind of scary because everyone was staring at us, well Edward mainly but they were staring at the rest of the Cullen’s and I as well and Jasper didn’t really like it so for main I was pulled into his side but I liked the feeling.
Charlie had called in this morning saying that Bella had moved back to Arizona to live with her Mom and the school accepted it and Edward was going to clear out her locker for her.
Sitting in first period I pulled out my notebook and a pen and just sat there tapping it against the page waiting for class to start but the person in front of me turned around and with a nervous smile on their face asked
“So did Bella really like move back to Arizona?” I nodded
“yeah she did, her Mom wanted her back there because she missed her so much” she nodded and turned back around and I rolled my eyes knowing that the story would change by lunch.
Class went by pretty quickly and I had the same situation in the rest of my morning classes though the question people asked me changed every time
“did she move to Arizona to become a pro base ball player like her step dad?” to which I replied that Bella couldn’t catch a ball and the person was stupid
“did she get forced from the state by the police?” and I replied that what law could Bella break in Forks? Then there was the most absurd
“did Bella and Edward have a baby and did she flee back to Arizona to hide it?” I just gave them a stare and said
“you’re an idiot”
By lunch I was pretty ready to rip someone to pieces and Jasper sensed this and so when I sat next to him he pulled me into a hug and I just sat there and breathed deeply to get my anger under control. Edward looked in my head and laughed at all the graphic images of death I had for the student body. He smirked and said
“I don’t think you should become a vampire with a mind like that” I looked up from Jasper’s neck and glared at him but he just chuckled until I pictured setting him on fire then he glared at me and huffed lightly making me smile and the rest laugh.
Jasper hugged me a little more and whispered
“you’re OK now right?” I giggled
“you should know” Jasper grinned
“you’re right I do know but I still want you to say it” I sighed and smiled
“yeah I’m fine but this is just annoying I mean people think Bella and Edward had a kid for flips sake” Jasper raised a brow and was about to reply but a shadow came over the table and looking up I saw the group of people Bella talked to a lot. Jessica rubbed her arm nervously before she gave a small smile and asked, being the leader of the group
“so where’s Bella?” I looked at the others and figured she would be less intimidated by me so I replied
“she’s in Arizona, her Mom wanted her home because she missed her or something, she left pretty quickly really, sorry if she didn’t call you but I’m sure she will soon once she’s settled back in” Jessica nodded but the guy with the blond hair, Mike spoke up
“how come you guys know I mean if she left quickly she couldn’t have told you guys either” Rosalie growled lowly that this guy would even think of questioning them but Emmett held her hand and she calmed and I smiled and answered
“we were hanging out when her Mom called her and I told these guys this morning, well she managed to call Edward before she left I mean he is her boyfriend remember?” I threw in that little reminder and it seemed to hit him because he stepped back as if struck before he nodded dejectedly before turning and the little gang followed him back to their table.
I looked back at the others and Rosalie was grinning at me
“I didn’t know you could be bitchy Evelyn” I grinned
“well he shouldn’t have been such an idiot I mean how did he think we knew?” Rosalie smiled and nodded and we all went back to our own conversations.
School went smoothly after that with the whole school having seen the incident at lunch and deciding not to speak to me which was fine by me. There was a funny moment though because Edward half way through lunch had gotten up and run home to go and see Bella and it turned out he had been doing it between classes as well which made me laugh.
I waved to Jasper who had dropped me off home and turning around I frowned seeing a small van in the drive that I didn’t recognize. Walking up the drive and into the house I called
“Mom!” I waited and then I saw her head peek out over the banister and her hair was messed up and she was out of breath, I grimaced and said “OK Mom I so don’t want to know what you’ve been doing” Mom laughed and shook her head
“not that Evelyn! No though I have something to tell you” I nodded and she came downstairs and stood in front of me, putting her hands on my shoulders she looked into my eyes and said
“you’re happy here aren’t you?” I nodded and she then asked “you know I’m happy here as well” I nodded again and asked
“where is this going Mom?” she ran a hand through her hair before she looked at the wall behind my head for a moment then looked into my eyes again
“Charlie and I have gotten serious in the time we’ve been together and we decided to take the next step in our relationship and with well” she looked uncomfortable for a moment before she carried on “with Bella becoming a vampire and leaving the house Charlie was alone again with the memories the place held and I didn’t want him to be there all alone any more so i…”
“so you?” I asked expectantly and she said quickly
“iaskedhimtomoveinwithus” even though she spoke fast I got the gist of it and a smile came to my face
“you asked Charlie to move in with us?” Mom nodded and looked at me worried what my reaction would be and I grinned and hugged her
“that’s great Mom I’m happy for you guys and hey he’s a cop so it means no one will dare burgle us or anything” Mom chuckled and raised a brow
“a burglar in Forks?” I laughed and shrugged
“I guess not so I’m taking it that the van outside had his stuff in?” Mom nodded
“yeah we’ve got it all in here now so it’s fine, there wasn’t much he wanted to bring anyway I mean he left all the furniture there accept this arm chair” Mom rolled her eyes and I giggled
“that horrible old one?” I asked and she nodded with a grimace and I just smiled and kissed her cheek
“I’m happy Mom really, I think it’s great you guys are going further in your relationship just please don’t do anything nasty while I’m here” Mom swatted me and I laughed before running past her and up the stairs to my room, saying hi to Charlie as I passed him in the corridor. I proceeded to ring Bella and tell her what had just happened and she was ecstatic too, she was worried about leaving Charlie on his own.
