It was time for the next performance. By now, I had gotten into a routine and knew what I had to do. Again, Matt had asked me to sing before they came on, and of course I accepted. I was starting to like singing in front of a crowd. Afterwards I would always get these butterflies in my stomach. I didn’t know it could be so much fun.

So, yet again, I was on the stage, ready for my debut. The shouts and yells breaching my ears, sending me into blissfulness. Mic in hand, I brought it to my lips.

The butterflies returned, making a huge grin across my lips. I felt so rejuvenated, and whole. It was like this was where I belonged; this was what I was meant to be. Yet, a new sound entered my ringing ears.

What? I hadn’t planned for this! The musicians looked at me, waiting for a song selection. I had no idea what to do in this situation. Well, here goes nothing.

The crowd screamed my name, over and over again. It was such an incredible feeling. Maybe Brian and Melle were right; maybe I should take this up as a career. No! Don’t go thinking ahead just yet Kass. Let it sink in first. So, I left the stage so Avenged Sevenfold could take my place. When I saw them, there were huge grins on their faces.

“What?” I asked, a little confused. They all looked at each other then back at me. They had started to clap. A blush immediately came to my cheeks. Was I really that good? No, they’re just being nice.

“You were brilliant!” Matt exclaimed, embracing me in a hug.

“We should totally do an album with her,” Johnny remarked. That earned another blush from me.

Brian walked over to me, noticing I was getting slightly embarrassed. “I told you. You are amazing.” He kissed my forehead, but this time I didn’t blush, a familiar arousal surged inside of me.

“Later,” I whispered to him, winking. That earned a smirk from him, and this time he kissed my lips, lingering a little.

“Hey stop hogging her!” Jimmy exclaimed and pulled me away from Brian. I laughed as he gave a rib-crushing bear hug.

“Umm... I think our fans are getting impatient,” Zacky pointed out.

“Oh! Let’s go guys!” Matt yelled, and they all headed onto the stage. Brian kissed me one more time before joining them on stage.
