The Run-away Fire

Setting:
Audrey, Jason and Penelope are waiting outside Jayden's office, a small wooded cabin.

Jason:
Ok, its time to get going.

Audrey:
Get going where.

Jason:
I'm running away remember.

Audrey:
Not that again.

Jason:
This is my only chance, if I don't go now I'll never get the chance.

Audrey:
Whatever.

Jason:
I will go.

Audrey:
Sure you will.

Jason:
I will.

Audrey:
Yeah right, you couldn't even spend one night away from Mum and Dad, let alone runaway.

Jason:
I could too.

Audrey:
Yeah of course, when pigs fly. You're just a big scaredy cat.

Penelope laughs.

Jason:
Am not.

Audrey:
Whatever.

Jason:
I will go you know.

Audrey:
Whatever you say.

Jason:
You could come with me.

Audrey:
No way.

Jason:
Fine, Penelope do you want to come with me?

Penelope:
Ok, but if I get tired you have to carry me.

Jason:
Great, at least I'll have some company.

Jason and Penelope begin to exit stage right.

Audrey:
Hey where are you going?

Jason:
And you said I was forgetful.

Jason and Penelope laugh then exit stage right.

Audrey:
Oh great, hey wait for me!

Audrey exits stage right. Will and Elizabeth enter stage left.

Elizabeth:
Kids! Good news.

Will:
We can come back next holidays.

Elizabeth:
Kids! Kids! Jason, Audrey, Penelope!

Will:
I'm sure they've just wandered off somewhere. They'll be back soon.

Elizabeth:
Wandered off? What if they get lost?

Will:
Maybe they went to the bathroom.

Elizabeth:
I hope so.

Will:
I'll meet you in the parking lot

Elizabeth exits stage left.

Will:
I hope she finds them.
