I don't need you

See we're making progress

"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings."
Slamming my locker I glared at Joe while he stood there leaning on the row of lockers
"For the millionth time, will you please leave me alone." I sighed
"Not until you take this." he pushed the paper which he wrote his number and address on into hand
"I'm not going to your stupid party." I pressed the paper against his chest until he took it back
"I'm just trying to help you make some friends."
"I don't want your help." I ran my hand through my hair in frustration "This might come as I shock to you, but I don't have friends because I don't want them. And I don't need you to come along and invite me to your parties so I can be surrounded by a load of drunk, sexed up teenagers that I'm already forced to go to school with." turning around I walked away from him heading to my next class. Hearing footsteps behind me I looked back
"Are you following me now?" I snapped
"We're in the same class."
"What? Since when?"
"Since yesterday."
"Wait? That's you?"
"Weird right? The guy you bump into just happens to be the new guy who also just happened to sit across from you in the library.... it's like fate." he smirked.
He's enjoying this, how can he be enjoying this? "Ladies first." he said stopping outside the classroom door
"I have two explanations for your so called fate. One your stalking me, two it's just one big coincidence." I said pushing past him
"Thats three coincidences." he followed me to my seat and sat down next to me
"What are you doing? Your seat's at the back."
"I want to s-"
"Your in my seat." Amber, whose life consists of skateboarding, skateboarding and more skateboarding said as she stood over Joe.
"Yea Joe, your in her seat." I smirked when he looked back at me
"This isn't over." he whispered before standing up and going to the back of the classroom.
"Look whose finally making friends." Amber muttered as she sat down
"Excuse me."
"I said, look whose finally making friends." she repeated more loudly and obnoxiously slow as if I was an idiot
"He's not my friend."
"Whatever." she rolled her eyes at me and pulled her books out of her bag. I can't believe she thinks I'm friends with Joe, I mean come on. Isn't it obvious that I can't stand him.

*******

Hearing the bell I quickly grabbed my stuff, stuffing them into my bag and pushing back my chair.
"Erica, wait up." Joe called out the moment I got outside the classroom, for god's sake why can't he just leave me alone. Wait, hold on he knows my name!
"How do you know my name?" I asked quickly turning to face him
"You never told me so I asked some people in class." he shrugged, rolling my eyes I turned round and made my way out of the building.
"Slow down, you have to stop this going off without me thing." he said walking next to me.
"I'm walking away because in all honesty I don't know you, I don't want to know you. I just want to be left alone."
"But why?"
"Because.... thats just the way I like it ok. I'm an independent person." Once I was through the doors I started buttoning up my coat, and now I can finally get away from him.
"Do you want a ride home?" he asked still managing to keep up with me
"No."
"Why?" If he asks me one more question I'm going to scream
"Because I like to walk."
"But it's cold."
"I don't care, I want to walk."
"Ok.... well can I walk you home?"
Stopping in place I whipped round "No!" I said sternly "I want to walk, alone. Without you."
"Just let me give you a ride home.... if you let me I promise to leave you alone." he raised his eyebrows waiting for an answer
"Look as tempting as that offer is no..... I'm not even going home." I turned round and continued walking
"Well where are you going?" he asked quickly running after me
"None of your business." I shouted
"After school job?"
"No"
"Er.... secret friends? secret boyfriend?" he lightly nudged me so I pushed him away
"No!!! Have you ever thought that maybe I don't want to go home, maybe I like to spend some time by myself."
"From what i've learnt about you, you already spend a lot of time by yourself." I stopped and glared at him, he has to be one of the rudest people i've ever met
"Comments like that make me want to slap you."
"See we're making progress, we're now having a full length conversation." he smiled at me and put his hand on my shoulder
"Well thats lovely, can I go now?" I pushed his hand off me and walked off again
"Sure!" I heard him shout after me "I guess i'll see you tomorrow." shoving my hands into my coat pockets I could feel something inside.
Are you being serious? He's put that paper with his number and address in my coat..... Does he really think I'm going to go to this thing, and when the hell did he put this in my pocket?
