Gone Awry

Monday morning came and went. Nothing extraordinary happened while Ash went to the Great Hall to eat and then went to her classes. Arithmancy, Transfigurations, DADA... she came, she learned, she left.

Yet the day wasn't as boring as it sounds, for Ash remembered that today Blaise and Tracy promised to come to music with her today! She couldn't wait to show them her awesomeness!

"What time do we have to be there and where do we have to be?" Tracy asked her during lunch.

"Well... it starts at 5... so I'd say 4:45 here?" Ash suggested with a grin on her face. She couldn't hide her excitement.

"I can't believe Flitwick actually allowed us to come, normally he's extremely strict when t comes to his music classes... I think no one was allowed inside the classroom, without being in music class..." Blaise said shaking his head. "He betrayed my last hope in not having to go!" he wined playfully, moving away from Ash when she wanted to hit him. She had asked Flitwick about her friends coming to music class this morning and he had gladly agreed. "Can't say no to my best singer," were his exact words.

"Oh come on! I know your just excited to finally hear me sing!"

"Why can't you just sing for us, outside of the class?"

"Well, because you wouldn't be able to see what fun it is."

"Still no excuse for not singing us something outside of the classroom. You sang for Draco."

"That's different, and how did you actually know that?"

"Draco told me."

"Tattle tale," Ash said, turning to Draco.

"Didn't know I wasn't allowed to tell."

Ash grunted. "Be happy. I normally only sing in music class or at performances. Up until Saturday I haven't even sung for my family."

The three others looked at her astonished. "Why?"

Ash shrugged. "Just haven't... It feels weird."

"Your weird."

Ash gave a short laugh, "I guess." Liar. she thought. A long time ago she had sung in front of her family and friends, but at one point somebody had told her that she was wasting her talent to sing in front of these people. He told her that if she wanted to become somebody she should dedicate herself to only singing in front of a audience... not to sing to family and friends, not to sing out of fun. She knew that was stupid. But ever since then she felt weird when she sung for fun.

"Professor Flitwick!" Ash yelled when she stormed into the classroom, Blaise and Tracy in tow.

"Miss. Weasley!" he yelled back while chuckling.

"Here's my friends," she said, coming to an halt in front of them, "they'll be participating today!"

"That's nice, I'm happy that you cared to join us, Mr. Zabini and Miss. Davis."

"Wait. Participating? I thought we were supposed to just listen and watch!" Blaise said while tugging Ash towards him.

"Well... I was about to tell you that..."

"You suck."

"And you love me," Ash grinned, giving - blushing - Blaise a peck on the cheek before taking his hand and pulling him to join the group.

"Hey Ash! Awesome game on Friday! Didn't see moves like that in a long time!" a brown haired Ravenclaw congratulated her as they reached the circle.

"You weren't to bad yourself Amelia! Although you could have been a bit more enthusiastic about Slytherin goals!" she told the commentator with a grin, before turning to Flitwick when he started talking.

"Alright, before we start. We'll postpone the practice to Saturday. I hope you don't have anything else planned on that day because it'll last the whole day! Instead of practising, well actually have a jam session if everyone's alright with that." the musicians cheered.

Ever since the practice for the Halloween show started they didn't really have a nice jam session like they had before. Ash grinned and beamed at her friends at the news.

"You guys will really see the true fun of music today!" she cheered as a couple of people started to play music on the instruments that where spread around the classroom.

"But this is still a class people, hence for the start I will tell you who's gonna sing what song and when! Understood?" Flitwick called out and the people nodded.

"Alright we'll start with Ash, start us of with Remember my Name!" the group cheered, Ash narrowed eyes at Flitwick - for making her go first - before laughing as well and waiting for their start while the music started playing.

Ash giggled before she started singing and dancing to the rhythm of Remember My Name.

"Amelia and Matthew Good Girls Gone Bad" Flitwick called out before the other duo finished and Amelia and Matthew high five'd themselves before running into the circle and pushing Ash and Taylor out laughing. The music changed as soon as the other two stumbled out of the circle laughing.

Davis circled the group while the guitar had its solo and pulled some girls into the circle to dance with them.

Whenever a song ended, Flitwick yelled out the next singer and the next song. Whoever wasn't singing was dancing around the circle and cheered on the others.

Ash turned to look at Blaise and Tracy who where a bit stiff at the start but had gradually learned to just go with the flow. Soon they where dancing with everyone else as if it were the most normal thing of the world to be in a classroom, dancing and singing. They even got used to Flitwick dancing after a couple of freaked glances in his direction.

"Alright guys, we'll slow it down a bit! Ash, introduce Blaise to the stage with a simple little duet, your choice."

Blaise looked at Ash with panic in his eyes. "I don't want to sing. I can't sing."

"Don't worry, we'll sing a really simple song, alright?" she turned to the instruments. "A whole new world" she told them and turned to Blaise, pulling him into the circle.

"But I don't even know the lyrics!"

Ash grinned, "They'll come to you" she said and started singing Aladdin's part.

Ash and Blaise ended the song and the people around them started clapping. "Wow... Didn't you say that you can't sing?" Ash whispered with a smile.

"I c-can't... normally."

"I sure you can sing normally just like that as well."

After their duet, Tracy was also forced into a singing session - she really couldn't sing - but everyone kept encouraging her and soon they went into a free jam session for the rest of the class.

After the class ended the three of them went to their common room together laughing. "That was awesome!" Tracy laughed and pulled Ash into a hug.

They were drunk with laughter when they stumbled into the common room.

"I can't believe you made me sing!" Tracy giggled. "Draco!" she screamed when she saw him talking to Chase on the couches. He looked up and saw them, arm in arm laughing and stumbling over to them.

"Wow, guys! Did you have a bit to much Butterbeer?"

Any girl who isn't us today" Ash sang together with Tracy, ending in a giggling fit as soon as they finished.

Swiftly they sat down, Ash next to Draco and Tracy and Blaise next to Chase on the adjacent couch.

"So I guess you had fun?"

"Oh yes! Did you know that Blaise is a really good singer? We sang a few duets together!" Ash cooed excitedly. Then she quickly turned to Blaise. "You really should come with me to music class more often!"

"I already told you. No."

"Come on! I'll love you forever and ever!" she begged, getting up from her seat next to Draco and sitting down on Blaise's lap so she could look him in the eyes.

"I - I - I - I'll think about it... OK?" Ash grinned and kissed him on the cheek.

"Yey!"

"Hey, I didn't say yes!"

"Course you did. I'll think about it is the same as saying yes. Only the longer version of it." Quickly she stood up again and went back to Draco - who's eyes were shinning in jealousy - and sat down next to him. Sighing contently as he snaked his arm around her and pulled her onto his lap, while smirking at Blaise.

"Mine." he mouthed at him.
