My eyes welled up more. I took a breath to try and steady myself. It kind of worked...
"I had a fiance` and his name was Travis. Travis joined the army and after a year, he was killed on the battle field. Whenever I stay with my parents for months, I regularly visit his grave."
Against my will, my tears started to fall. Now I was in Brian's arms and he was comforting me. I liked it though.
"Then there was Tom." My voice shook with fear from just saying his name. "He...beat me."
"What?!" Brian sounded very angry.
I looked at his burning eyes. "That was the main reason why I got sleeves and tattoos on my back and all that stuff. It's to cover up some of the scars."
"Show me." Brian words practically hit me in the face.
"What?!"
"Show me."
I moved away to get a better look at him. He was dead serious. Uh-oh
