Dear Ethan,
The corer of our flat is a shrine dedicated to our love. There is a framed picture on the wall from the carnivals where we spent an hour on one ride trying to pose for the camera. It's on the log flumes and we're surrounded by walls of water on either side while you have your arms wrapped around me and your nose against mine. It's bee framed and hung over our other souvenirs of the beautiful day.
There is a teddy with deep brown fur and a creamy belly that's big enough to cuddle with when you're not home. I named him Honeybear and tied a red ribbon round his neck to make him look cuter. You won him at the claw machine, but it took the best part of the day and all of our treat money for the next few weeks.
You even took me on a picnic in the local park too. We sat on a hill and watched the children play while you talked about us and how good we were together. It was all perfect, until I ruined it. "We'll be together forever, won't we?"
Your face turned sour and I regretted speaking instantly.
