You Implied That You Would Wait for Me

You Implied That You Would Wait For Me Chapter 15

I hurried out of the car and ran to Avery’s door.
I rang the door bell and she answered the door.
She smiled at me and reached up to kiss my cheek.
“Ready?” I asked taking her hand.
“Yup,” she said opening her umbrella.
We ran to my car and I opened the passenger door for her and she quickly got it.
I ran to the drives side and quickly got in the car.
“Morning,” I said kissing her.
“Morning,” she smiled back at me.
I pulled out of the drive way and headed to school.
We listened to the radio as I drove.
By the time we got to school the rain had subsided.
Avery and I held hands as we quickly walked to the school.
I headed to my locker as Avery went to hers.
As I spun open my locker Sadie walked over to me.
“Welcome back,”
“Good to be back,” I smiled at her.
“Feeling better?”
“Much better,”
“Good,” she said smiling. “So, um, I’ll see you in class,”
“Sounds good,”
Sadie gave me a small wave before walking away.
I emptied my book bag then walked to Avery’s locker.
I saw her standing there talking to another guy.
This must me the new kid.
Didn’t see tell him that she was taken?
As I walked over to them I saw him checking her out.
I balled up my fist and stormed over.
“Hey baby, who’s your friend?” I said glaring at the other guy.
He smirked at me and I glared back.
“Jared, this is Jake, he’s new,”
“Nice to finally meet you,” I said.
“So you’ve heard of me?” he looked amused.
“Yeah, the guy who’s hitting on my girlfriend. Right?”
“You can call me that,”
“Listen pal, back off,”
“Listen pal,” he said mocking me. “I get what I want,”
“Do you want a punch to the face?”
“Maybe some other time,” he said walking away.
I glared at him in disgusted. “Jerk,”
“Jared, you didn’t have to do that,”
“I had to put him in his place,” I said looking at her.
“I don’t want a war over me. I’m not-”
“Yes you are, you’re mine,” I said kissing her forehead.
She smiled and took my hand. “I like that,”.
We smiled and headed to class.

For the rest of the day Jake backed off.
I could tell he was staring at Avery through.
That really pissed me off, but I played it for Avery.
At the end of the day we went to her place to do homework.
I eat dinner with her parents. It was nice, I had fun and I think they like me.
I was never really good at meeting the parents.
Afterwards Avery and I hung out in her room.
She rested her head on my chest as we talked. She did most of the talking.
I just like hearing her voice.
“You’re heart beat is musical,” she said.
I chuckled. “What?”
She giggled. “I like hearing it,”
“I like hearing yours,”
Avery looked up at me and we kissed.
“I really like you,” I said.
“I love you,” she said.
I smiled. “I will someday,”
“Good,” she smiled. “Do you want to do something?”
“Sure what?”
“I don’t know,”
“Let me know when you do,” I said closing my eyes enjoying being close with her.
“We could go to the beach,”
“In this cold weather?”
“Thanksgiving break? We could drive down to Florida or something,”
I smiled. “I like it. We could spend three days there,”
“How romantic,” she said. I could hear the smile in her voice.
“I’ll ask my folks,” I said.
“Same,” she said. “I might even be ready…”
I opened my eyes and sat up. “Huh?”
“I want you to be my first,” she said.
“I told you, we don’t have to,”
“I think I want to. Do you?”
“I don’t know… I’m waiting,”
“Okay,” she said kissing me. “Whatever you want,”
I smiled and kissed her. “We’ll see,”
