Duke is lost, his soul mate gone, his heart shattered into pieces. He's desperately looking for her, wanting to find her, needing her. He can't go on without her.

Grace watches Duke everyday, searching for a way to get him to understand. She's right within his reach, he just hasn't noticed.

Grace's humanity is slipping away, and will disappear forever if she doesn't get Duke to find her. Time is running, and their hearts are slipping through their fingers.
