Lost In A Moment.

Text messages.

Jack, Kaitlyn, Emily, Hannah and Dan entered Zia's Cafe, all of them laughing at how absolutely terrible of a driver Jack was. 'Oh , for the love of God. Shut the fuck up, guys! We got here, didn't we?' Jack asked his friends as they walked over to their regular spot by the window. 'You're so mean to me,' Jack said and pouted as he sat down next to Emily who giggled quietly. 'I seriously don't get why I'm friends with you guys sometimes,' he mumbled.

'Oh, Jack... We're just joking around,' Emily said and giggled as she looked at Jack who pouted. His bottom lip out on display, 'It's not funny,' he whispered and Emily stopped laughing. The others had moved on and were now talking about something else. 'Jack, I'm sorry, okay?'

'Okay,' he mumbled and looked at table with a weak smile on his lips.

'What can I do for you to forgive me?' she asked and Jack looked up, a playful smirk on his lips. 'Oh, you know what you can do,' he whispered and winked. Emily laughed and shook her head, 'Not that, you dickhead,' she said and playfully smacked the back of Jack's head as they both laughed.

'Hi, my name is Alex and I'm your waiter today. Can I take your order?'

Hannah's mouth dropped as her blue eyes met Alex's brown ones. He smiled towards her and her cheeks burned in an instant. 'I'd like a chocolate milkshake, please,' Emily said and Alex nodded as he wrote down what the first wanted. 'I'll have a Vanilla milkshake and some fries,' Jack said and Alex continued to write down the orders. Everyone ordered what they wanted and then it was Hannah's turn. 'What would you like?' Alex asked and grinned. Hannah's mouth was still hanging open and when Emily turned around, she blushed because of her friend's rudeness so she kicked Hannah's leg under the table. 'Ouch,' Hannah exclaimed and Alex chuckled.

'Chocolate milkshake,' she mumbled and glanced one last time at Alex, who nodded and grinned. 'I'll be right back with your orders,' he said and nodded before he walked off.

'Dang,' Kaitlyn said and followed Alex as he walked off. 'He was hot,' she said and laughed. 'What the hell was that?' Emily asked Hannah who looked at her. 'I... I don't know,' Hannah answered and she didn't understand why she didn't just tell them she knew him.

Hannah's phone went off and she opened it, to see Alex's name flash across the screen. She bit her bottom lip and looked at her friends who were again talking about something really boring, well - at least it was boring to Hannah. She pushed OPEN and waited nervously.

Fancy seeing you here! ;) - A! Xx

She smiled and pushed ANSWER, flipping her phone over and she wrote back instantly.

You didn't tell me you worked here! :) - H! Xx

she closed her phone and paid attention to what the others said, until her phone went off again. She opened it and just as she read the message, Alex came over with everyones milkshakes.

Wanna hang later? ;) - A! Xx

Hannah looked up at Alex as he pushed her milkshake over. 'Here you go, love,' he said and that was the first time she'd ever heard the British accent of his. She grabbed it and their fingers touched.

'Yes,' she said and the others looked at her giving her weird looks. She's finally lost it; Emily thought as she looked at her best friend. The only one who understood what she meant was Alex and he gave her a quick nod when no one was looking.

'I'll be right back with your fries and such,' Alex said as he walked off. Hannah's cheeks turned bright red as Alex turned around and winked at her. Asshole; she thought and couldn't help but smile a little as she drank from her milkshake. 'What the hell is going on with you today?' Emily asked and Hannah chuckled. 'What? Nothing's wrong with me,' Hannah replied and shrugged Emily's concern off. Her phone beep again and she opened the phone within a second, reading the message made her giggle.

Sorry 'bout that! :) Meet you at the lake around 8, then? Can't wait! ;) - A! Xx

'Who are you texting?' Dan asked and I answered Alex back quickly, before putting my phone in the back pocket of my jeans. 'It's just my mom wondering when I'll be home,' Hannah answered and smiled at Dan who nodded. Hannah tilted her head to the left and looked towards the counter where Alex was talking to his co-workers, laughing at something the other girl said and Hannah couldn't help but feel slightly jealous because of the way the girl made him laugh.
