Hope Will Fall Tonight With Broken Wings
To Lunch With Them
Velaska was working on figuring out the budget for some bands for when they go on tour. She was so into the wok she was doing that she jumped when her phone rang. “Hello, this is Velaska. How can I help you?” Velaska said answering the phone.
“You sound so professional. Anyway we are here to pick you up for lunch. Jimmy talked to Mr. Wallus and he said you can have an hour lunch break” Matt said
“Nice. Just let me finish this one thing. I’m in the last room on the right at the end of the hall on the third floor” Velaska said
“Kay, be there in a sec” Matt said
“Kay” Velaska said and then hung up the phone. She went right back into work. There soon was a knock on her door. “Come in!” Velaska said loudly.
The door opened and Avenged Sevenfold walked into the room. “Are you ready for lunch?” Jimmy asked
“In a sec; just let me save this” Velaska said. She hit the save button and put her computer to sleep. “I’m ready now” Velaska said and grabbed her purse.
“You look beautiful” Brian said before he could stop himself
“Oh ummm thanks” Velaska mumbled as she looked down. Matt just punched Brian in the arm.
“Let’s go to lunch before anyone dies” Zacky said
“Agreed, so how are we getting there?” Velaska said
“Well my car only holds 5; so I guess we’re gunna have o take two cars” Matt said
“Alright, so who wants to go with me?” Velaska said
“I DO!” Brian said little bit overly excited about it, and Matt and everyone else looked at him weird.
“Me too. I mean I’m her favorite” Jimmy said
“Okay then; Jimmy and Brian go with V. Johnny and Zacky can have on the way back” Matt said as they left the room. Velaska locked the door behind her and then followed the guys to the parking lot. Everyone got into the two cars and Velaska followed Matt to the restaurant, which was only a couple of blocks away. Once they parked the car they got out. “This is a great place” Johnny said as they walked into the Asian restaurant that Velaska remembered ordering food with her parents before they moved. At this Velaska grabbed Matt’s hand. He looked at Velaska and automatically knew why. “I’m so sorry V. We can go somewhere else if you want” Matt said sweetly
“No, it’ll be fine. I just haven’t eaten here without them” Velaska said
“Are you sure? We can always find somewhere else to go” Matt said
“NO, I’m good; let’s go eat” Velaska said with a smile and continued to walk into the restaurant. They went to the hibachi section and sat down. Jimmy sat on the end, then Velaska, then Zacky, Johnny, Matt and then Brian. “I want to sit next to Laska” Brian said
“Why? If you sit there you can look at me” Velaska said and Matt gave Brian a what-the-fuck-dude type look.
“Does someone have a crush on Laska?” Zacky nagged as both Velaska and Brian blushed
“What about your wife?” Johnny asked
“Actually, its soon-to-be ex-wife” Brian corrected
“What happened?” Matt asked
“I thought you guys where happy together” Jimmy said
“We were, but I guess the last tour was too much for her. She wants to be on good terms but she wants a divorce. I fought with her, no physically of course, but there was no reasoning with her; she was dead set on getting a divorce” Brian said
“I’m sorry” Velaska said
“It’s not your fault” Brian said
“So, weird totally off topic question. Velaska, did you ever meet the guy that put you in the hospital?” Jimmy asked
“How the fuck did that come to mind?” Johnny asked
“Well Brian said it wasn’t Laska’s fault about the divorce. And I remembered the reason why she grabbed on to Matt’s hand; this was the place they ate together all the time before she moved. And it wasn’t her fault about what happened to them so then I wanted to know if she met the guy at fault” Jimmy explained.
“Actually I did meet him, though it only lasted a minute or two. He went to Lottee’s house the day I got released from the hospital. I ended up punching him in the face and told him to get lost or I was gunna call the cops” Velaska said
“That’s my girl” Matt said with a smile.
“Like the nerves he had was enough to piss me off” Velaska said
“Do you know if he was on something at the time of the accident?” Zacky asked
“I was only told that he fled the scene” Velaska said
“Did he do jail time?” Matt asked
“I have no idea. I wasn’t told much and I was in a coma for 3 years” Velaska said
“I think he should’ve” Brian said
“Let’s talk about something else” Velaska said
“Of course!” Jimmy said
At this time the hibachi chef walked to their table. They didn’t say much as they all watched the chef with amazement. Once their food was placed in front of them, did they start talking again, which was about Brain. “Well at least you are going to be on good terms” Velaska said
“I guess. I just wish I didn’t have to get divorced. At least she isn’t asking for things that aren’t hers” Brian said
“So Laska, are you dating anyone?” Zacky asked
“Why? So you can threaten him?” Velaska asked
“No, so we can talk to him and see if he’s worthy of you” Matt said
“In that case I’ll let ya know” Velaska said with a slight smile
“Let us know what?” Jimmy asked
“When I get a boyfriend” Velaska said
“Wait, you’re single?” Brian asked a little too excitedly
“Well yea. I was in a coma for 3 years and I didn’t have a boyfriend when I graduated college” Velaska said
“Well that’s good. So would you date anyone I know?” Matt asked
“I don’t know. It depends I guess. Depends on how well you know them; how long you know them; what type of relationship you have with them. I just don’t know” Velaska said
“How about Brian?” Johnny asked
“I don’t know. I guess it depends on the results of this week. And besides he’s getting a divorce, he’s not divorced yet. I don’t know” Velaska said with her head down trying to hide her blush. She honestly wouldn’t mind dating him, but right now they aren’t ready for that.
They dropped the subject, none of them wanted to upset Velaska. “So, how do you like work so far?” Matt asked
“It’s good, I really enjoy it. I find that stuff fun” Velaska said
“I’m so glad you’re happy” Matt smiled
“So how come you are so strong?” Brian asked causing everyone to look at him.
“Actually, I was wondering the same thing” Zacky said
“Well before I was in a coma, I use to do girls MMA fighting. I just pushed myself a lot after I woke up so that I could gain all the muscle I had lost while in a coma” Velaska said and ate her food.
“MMA?” Johnny asked
“Yupp. Mixed Martial Arts and yes I said fighting” Velaska said.
