Queen of Hearts
Aedre and Melody hadn't seen each other in years - at least not since Aedre moved to England right after graduation, suddenly. Not because of Melody - they still talked all the time twice a day everyday - but because she - in Aedre's words had 'had enough of that town and enough of being a lovesick overlooked little girl . . .
Things were going well for her though - she was an editor-in-chief for a large publishing firm in London - soon to be made senior editor-in-chief and partner. Aedre was on top of the world.
Melody finished up college and owned the local bookstore in Ashford, WA by day and was a major lyricist by night for several bands - not mentioning A7X . . .
But things go awry and Aedre finds herself and her personal assistant, Adam Livingston, going back to Ashford, her old town not only to salvage her carrer but to attend perhaps the most dreaded party of a lifetime - her high school reunion and to spend time with the one person she never hoped to see ever again . . .
