Make Me Better

Chapter 34

The guys were in the basement messing around while Lindsey and I stayed upstairs, watching movies.

"Don't you go back to school tomorrow?" Lindsey asked, she was sitting on the floor, her back pressed into my legs, which were dangling off the couch.

"Yeah." I made sure to make my voice sound tremendously sad. Lindsey gave a little laugh and reached for the control, flipping through the channels quickly.

"Ew!" It echoed all through the house, it was Frank. Lindsey and I exchanged looks, Frank's outbreak was followed by heavy footsteps running up the stairs. I turned to look over the couch, Frank dashed towards us but didn't make it far since Gerard was right behind him. Gerard grabbed Frank's arm and pulled him back.

"Frank, shut your face." Gerard huffed. Frank rolled his eyes and looked over at me, a huge smile spread on his face. Mikey walked around them and then turned to look at Gerard.

"You wouldn't." Gerard said in a warning tone.

Mikey looked straight at Lindsey, "Gee's babbling about your sex life." I snorted and then let out a loud chuckle.

"Mikey, you're my brother, you dickhead." Gerard let go of Frank and sighed.

"What do you mean?" Lindsey stood up and looked directly at Gerard, a hard look on her face.

"Just some stuff." Gerard shrugged, embarrassed, "Frank asked!" Gee was quick to point at Frank.

"Don't lie! All I asked was whether you spent time with Lindsey on Thanksgiving and you told me shit I didn't need to hear. I swear, Lindsey!" Frank nodded quickly before moving away from Gerard, who was glaring at him.

"Oh, really?" Lindsey arched an eyebrow, "What did you run your mouth about, Gee?"

"See, what you did, Mikey? Got me in trouble." Gerard shook his head and started to walk upstairs, Lindsey soon following.

"I'm still waiting for my answer." Lindsey pressed. Gerard groaned and stomped up the rest of the stairs, mumbling things under his breath.

"Oh, he's in for it." Mikey chuckled. Frank yawned loudly and stretched, "Oli, want to go home? I don't want to listen to Lindsey scream at Gerard."

"Ok." I stood up and we said bye to Mikey, who didn't seem too happy to be left alone. Bob was still over but he had passed out on the couch.

"Let's go to the park." Frank grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together.

I laughed, "I thought you wanted to go home."

"I lied."

"Frank, it's freezing!" I shouted after him as he ran ahead of me. I had no clue why he was running but I was following, trying my hardest to catch up with him.
Running was such a stupid idea, the cold wind wasn't really welcoming as I ran through the slightly wet grass.

"Hurry!" Frank turned to look at me, I stopped abruptly.

"Why are you running?" I shouted.

"The swings, of course!" Frank kept running.

"There isn't anyone here, there's no need to run." I grumbled as I pulled my hood on and walked slowly, trying to catch my breath. I stuffed my freezing hands into my jacket pockets as I walked towards Frank, he had reached the swings by now.

I walked over to the other swing and sat down on it, the squeak of Frank's swing was loud as he kicked his legs back and forth.

"It's cold." I mumbled, crouching over to wrap my arms around my legs.

"It is not." Frank smiled over at me. I shook my head and looked down at the sand, I kicked it back and forth.

"You can sit on my lap." Frank's voice snapped me out of my mindless trance. I looked over at him.

"That won't work."

"Yeah, it will, " He stopped swinging, "Come on." I gave him a skeptical look. Frank had a big smile on his face. I couldn't deny him when he looked so freaking cute. I walked over to him, I sat on his lap and tried to make myself comfortable. Frank wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer to him. I held onto the chain, Frank tried to start us off and I laughed when we didn't move at all.

"Told you." I turned my head slightly so that I could look at him.

"Maybe I just wanted to hold you." He whispered into my ear, I was glad I was facing forward. He would be able to see the blush that was creeping onto my cheeks.

"I love you, Oli." Frank said, quietly, almost a whisper.

"I love you too, Frankie." I made the mistake of letting go of the chains, we lost balance and fell backwards.

"Sorry, sorry ." I had fallen right on top of Frank. I moved my hands into the sand, ready to push myself off of him. He snaked his arms around my waist, bringing me back down. We looked at each other for a while before we burst into laughter.

"You made us fall." Frank grinned, his hand brushed my hair out of my face.

"I didn't meant to." I chuckled, "You have sand in your hair." I reached up to brush the sand out his dark locks. In a matter of seconds, Frank had managed to flip us over, so that he was hovering over me.

The sand was cold against my back, even though I was wearing a jacket.

"I'm going to kiss you." Frank breathed, inching closer to me, "Let's hope your dad isn't spying on us." I laughed, reaching up and wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him to me. My lips met his in a heated moment.

We were totally making out in the sand, under the swings, under the almost dark night sky.

"I there might be sand in my pants." I said wiggling around under Frank. We had rolled all around in the sand, which I wouldn't ever do but I made an exception this time.

"I'm pretty sure I do too." Frank laughed, "Let's get you home." Frank pulled my up swiftly. We sat in the cold grass, getting the sand out of our shoes, socks, and pants. Frank drove me home and I wasn't very surprised when my dad was out on the porch.

"He's gone mad." I stated.

"I'll see you, Oli." Frank was leaning over, but I gave him a look.," Yeah, sorry. I forgot he was there." I got tout the car and walked towards my dad.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Hi, what took so long?"

"What do you mean?" I was opening the front door, it was even 8 yet.

"I thought you were going to a friend's house." He followed me in, shutting the door behind him.

"We did." I nodded.

He laughed, "You're a really bad liar, Olive." He was shaking his head and I almost felt nervous, "Plus, you have sand in your hair." With that he left. I didn't really know if he was mad or not.

"Rise and shine, little Olive." My dad as shaking me lightly. I groaned and pushed him away.

"Get ready for school and hurry."

"Why?" I sat up, rubbing my eyes.

" 'Cause I'm driving you." He started to make his way out my room.

"But Frank usually drives me." I yawned.

"Not happening, what if you two go make out at the park again?" Oh, that's why he wanted to drive me to school. I decided not to argue, I went into my bathroom and took a quick shower. I put my hair up into a ponytail and frantically looked through my dresses for clothes. I grabbed jeans, a blue thermal and my black jacket. I was crawling around on the floor looking for my blue Vans.

There was a knock at my door, "You ready?"

"Hold on!" I called, "I'm looking for my shoes. I laid down on my stomach and slithered my way under my bed. I retrieved my shoes and slipped them on quickly. I made sure to call Frank and tell him that he didn't have to drive me to school.

"Ok, ready." I opened my room door and followed my dad outside. The drive to school was filled with awkward silence. Luckily, it didn't take long to get me to school.

"Thanks for the ride, dad. Are you going to pick me up?" I asked, unbuckling my seatbelt and grabbing my backpack.

"Yeah, I'll meet you right here."

"Alright, well. Have a good day at work." I smiled at him sweetly before getting out the car. I seriously needed my own car. The last thing I wanted was my dad driving me to and from school just because he didn't want me around Frank.

The first person I saw when I stepped into the main building was Jenna. She was with a group of friends, they were right by my locker. I contemplated on whether going to my locker and I decided I had nothing to worry about. I was just hoping that she wouldn't try and talk to me.

I rummaged around my locker for my english notebook,

"Olive." I cursed under my breath as I moved back slightly, peeking around my locker door to look at her. All her friends were glaring at me.

"Jenna." I used the same tone she had used, bored and slightly annoyed.

"How are you? Are you Frankie still together? He isn't crushing on Lindsey or anything, right?" Her voice sounded oddly cheerful.

"Yup, we're still together." I smiled brightly, "And I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a crush on Lindsey."

"How are you so sure? I was so sure he liked me but I was so wrong!" She sighed dramatically, "He liked you all along."

I rolled my eyes, " I don't have time for you." I found what I was looking for and slammed my locker door shut. I walked away from her little group, I could hear them giggling. I would have said something but then Frank popped out in front of me.

"Hey, what's up?" He smiled, his smile faltered as he seemed to process that I was so happy.

"Your ex-girlfriend is annoying." I mumbled, I laced our hands together and rugged lightly as I started off towards my first period.

"What did she say?"

"Stupid things. "

"Sorry." He leaned over to kiss my cheek, "So? Is your dad planning to drive you to school everyday?" Earning a laugh out of me.

"I think so." I shook my head.

"Bummer, I really enjoyed when we would make out in my car right after school." I looked to my left, glancing up at the huge clock.

"We got 7 more minutes before class." I smirked up at him. Frank caught y drift and practically dragged me into the parking lot, he pushed me up against the hood of his car and attacked my lips with his.
