Zach’s POV

I am so nervous, I can’t relax, today is the day. I have to get to school for the show in 2 hours, I already changed so I’m ready to go. My mom came in and told me to go eat something but I can’t eat, I’m too nervous. I feel like a million things can go wrong like that I’m going to forget the song when we have to perform or that I will trip or that I will simply suck. I don’t know why all of a sudden I’m filled with doubt, yesterday I felt like everything was perfect. I have been pacing in my room and I hadn’t noticed that Kira had came in.

“Stop” Kira said standing in front of me stopping me from going further.

“Ki, I’m so nervous” I said turning around and started pacing again, she got me and sat me down on my bed.

“You are going to sit right there and you are going to calm down” Kira said

“I can’t” I said shaking my leg

“Take a deep breath, then let it out and do it again” Kira said, I did what she told me to do but I was still nervous.

“Everything is going to be fine, you and Nate are going to rock that stage” Kira said as she pushed me on my back. She started playing with my hair and it started making me sleepy and surprisingly I fell asleep.

I felt someone lightly shake me and I opened my eyes to see Kira.

“Did you have a good nap?” Kira asked me

“Yeah” I said

“Let’s go, you have a show to give” Kira said. I started to panic again and jumped out my bed.

“My voice is going to go away before we go on” I said

“No it’s not, c’mon” Kira said pulling my arm and dragged me downstairs. My mom took one look at my face and gave me a tight hug.

“I’m scared” I whispered as we hugged

“And it’s ok to feel that way but don’t. You will do fine honey, there is nothing to be afraid of, I believe in you” she whispered. I hugged her really tight and then I let her go.

“Rock that stage bro” Vic said standing behind me

“We will be cheering for you” Dad said

“We will catch up with you later, we have one more thing we have to do” Mom said

I arrived at the school and Nathan was already there.

“Do something to calm him down” Kira told him

“Smile, smile to the crowd, smile while you sing, it also helps to not look directly at people, look behind them, at the ceiling, at posters or sing to the people you know, and no matter what just have fun with it” Nate said

“Zach leave before you make a fool out of yourself, everyone is going to laugh at you” Taylor said

“Don’t listen to her” Kira said

“Are you going to tell me what song now?” Kira asked

“No, not yet” I said smiling

“Let’s go get ready” Nate said and we left Kira behind.

“And now to take the stage will be Zachary Porter and Nathan Darmody, give them a round of applause” the principal announced

“I can do this” I whispered to myself as I walked on stage. Nate started playing and then I started to sing.

The moment I sang all the nervousness when away. I looked around and saw that a bunch of people had shocked looks on their faces. They didn’t think we were this good ha! As I started to get more comfortable as I was singing I started to walk around the stage. I looked at my friends and my family when I saw my grandma there. I was surprised to see her there, she saw that I saw her and have me a big smile. When the song finished I didn’t want to get off the stage.

“Nate that felt so good!” I shouted in excitement when we got off the stage

“You see there was nothing to worry about” Nate said patting my back as we walked to our people

“You guys choose my favorite song!” Mina shouted hugging me and Nate

“All that practicing paid off. Ahhh my little boys, you make me so proud” Mikey said

“It was YOU!” Kira said pointing at him

“You did great honey” Mom said hugging me

“You defiantly got the Porter’s talent” Dad said laughing and giving me a hug

“Grandma what are you doing here?” I asked

“You really thought I would miss out on you singing up there, if I would have missed it I would have regretted it for the rest of my life” she said hugging me

“I missed you” I said

“I did too. You better sing for me one of these days” she said

“Oh course” I said

“Vic told me you have a girlfriend” she said smirking at me

“He does too” I said. I turned around and saw Megan standing behind me.

“Hi there pretty lady” I said hugging her

“I love it when that mouth of yours sings but I’d rather have you doing something else whit that mouth” she said before kissing me.

We all went to my house and had a great time and we just finished eating.

“We want an encore” Kira demanded

“We could do one of the songs we practiced” Nate suggested

“Yeah the other ones were pretty good too” Mikey said

Nate and I got ready and we started.

“Let’s party!” Kira shouted. My dad turned on the music and we all enjoyed the rest of the night, well except Taylor and Vanessa. I love my life.
