When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong.

"Thought about Dan today?" he asked and I looked up at him,"huh?"

"Have yeh thought bout Dan today?"

I bit my lips in thought. Well, actually....no....

He grinned before I could even turn my thought into words, "wonder why." He said looking back over at Matty.

I sighed and covered my eyes, "Not fair."

"What's not fair?" I heard Matty and parted my fingers to look at him.

"Jona's being mean."

He pulled my hands from my face gently and pulled me into his chest.

"What's he doin, love?" he asked softly as his hand found my lower back.

"Nuffin she's over dramatic."

Matty chuckled and kissed my cheek, "I am not." I mumbled.

He gave me a grin as his hand brushed my hair behind my ear.

"Finally!" Lee shouted and we looked over to see Sarah walking up.

Matty gave me a wink before removing his arm from me. What the hell? I swear this kid confuses me...

"Heyyy Maddieeee." Sarah said and I laughed, "Heyyyy Sarahhhh."

"Yeh called her Maddie." Oli said chuckling.

"So?"

"Only Matt calls her that. It's strange hearin' it from someone else."

"It's not like it's off limits or something." I said laughing, "you just choose not to."

"Well we need to head ta tha venue so someone get in someone's car."

I rolled my eyes and Sarah laughed, "wanna ride with me?"

"Yeah. Wait. Where is it?" I asked and Matty shook his head with a grin, "yeh a daft bird some times."

"Matty. Just tell me." I said glaring at him.

"Look, I'll ride wif yeh." Jona said grabbing my arm, "lets go."

I sighed and followed Sarah to her car. Jona got in the back and I sat up front with Sarah.

"Why did you ride?"

"Why not? Ratha Matty ride?" he asked with a grin.

Sarah laughed, "I mean, I know it seems like I ask this a lot but are you and Matty together?"

I sighed, "No."

"She wants to be so don't go hittin' on him."

"Jona!"

Sarah laughed, "no worries. I won't."

"Yeah she won't. She fancies Lee." I stated and Sarah blushed, "do not!"

"Don't worry. Jona knows everyone's secrets. He won't tell."

"Well, Lee's cute..." she mumbled and I laughed, "Awe. He likes you too."

"Does he?" she asked shooting me a look.

I laughed, "Yeah. Gosh Jona. We should open a dating place!"

"With yeh history maybe I should by myself."

Well that's true...

We finally arrived at the venue with Jona's help and we followed him in after he talked to the guard at the door.

"Here put these on." He said handing up passes.

"Hate for Matty ta beat up security because they threw yeh out and apparently beating up people is now his hobby." He stated and I rolled my eyes as we entered a room where the guys were sitting.

"So we have to be here for you all to sit around?"

"No yeh jerk we gotta set up soon." Oli stated.

"Set up. meet fans. Tha normal." Vegan said calmly and I looked over at Sarah, "welcome to my life."

She laughed and I looked at Lee who seemed to be staring at Sarah like she was a model or something. Well, she was tall, blonde and pretty so maybe she could be. Either way it was too cute.

"Well lets get that ova wif." Matty said standing up from his seat.

"Fans should hate you."

"I meant the setting up part!"

I chuckled and he wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked down the hall.

Sarah and I sat on the edge of the stage as the boys put their instruments together and all that music crap I didn't understand.

"So I take it this isn't your first show." She said with a chuckle.

"I've lost count. Like, the groupies probably envy me."

She laughed, "even more so when you're with them all the time."

I shrugged, "well, now it'll probably be like that since I don't have a boyfriend anymore."

"You had a boyfriend?"

"Yeah. He cheated, I moved in with Matty who just lives next door andddd here we are."

"Oh my gosh...awe, I'm sorry Madelynn." She said with a frown.

I shrugged, "it's whatever."

"So you and Matty are just roommates?"

"Yep. He's like my best friend really."

"Awe are yeh talkin bout meh?" Matty asked with a smile as he fell down beside me his drum sticks in hand.

I rolled my eyes, "shouldn't you be doing something?"

"I'm done, love. Was she talkin bout meh?" he asked looking over at Sarah who laughed, "um...maybe?"

"Dude. All that was said is you're my roommate."

"Anddd that I'm yeh best friend. Heard that meh self." He said nodding and I sighed, "see what I deal with."

Matty chuckled and wrapped his arms around me, "yeh my best friend too no worries." He whispered before kissing my cheek.

"Come on the guys and I have ta go out back ta meet up wif some fans." He said releasing himself from me and jumping up.

I groaned as he took off after Lee.

"I think he likes you." Sarah said confidently and I rolled my eyes, "not like that."

"Right. Ok..."

"Please! Not you too!"

"Just stating what I see!"

I sighed and walked outside. I leaned against the wall as the guys were signing stuff for teenage girls. I couldn't help but watch how the girls acted around them. It amused me. Probably because I didn't understand. But they were just as kind and caring as you would hope they would be to fans. Of course there were those cute teenage girls that were all giggly because they loved them, those boys who probably would kill to be in their band and then those girls who clearly were here to try and get in their pants. Those girls annoyed me. I once had to physically pull one off Lee as he squealed like a child because she wouldn't stop trying to molest him. Ever since then I think he's a little on edge. But right now he was dealing with those giggly girls and he was laughing along with them so maybe it wouldn't be him today. I felt like a body guard surveying them even though there was actually one not far from me at the moment. Of course I couldn't help but occasionally stare at Matty. I mean...ok, I don't have a logical excuse except for if I see someone hitting on him I might flip. Well, not really but in my head I'd be flipping out.

"For someone who doesn't like him you sure are staring at him." Sarah whispered and I looked over at her as she grinned.

"I don't." I mumbled crossing my arms.

"Uh huh yeah. Ok."

"Who the hell is that girl?" I asked her as some girl was chatting Matty up, clearly flirting as she flipped her hair back and touched his arm lightly. I didn't mean to voice that thought but it happened and she laughed in return.

"why do you care? You don't like him."

"Oye, Madelynn. Some slag is hittin' on yeh man." Jona said with an amused look.

"Not mine and who cares."

"Right." He said laughing as I glared at that girl. I wanted her to go away.

"If looks could kill..." Sarah said chuckling.

"Shut up." I mumbled not in the mood.

The girl grabbed Matt's hand and began scribbling something on the top of it with a pen. Oh god. He was letting her give her number to him. My heart sank at that moment. I know I shouldn't feel sad about it because he isn't mine but for some reason it rubbed me the wrong way.
