There's So Much Beauty When Your Eyes Lay Lost in All the City Lights

I started running towards James.
“James?!?!”
“Over here mommy!!” I ran towards his voice and saw Dan laughing.
“Where’s James?” He laughed some more and pointed behind me.
“There’s no James. I’m Charlie Scene” I turned and saw him wearing the mask. I couldn’t help but laugh too.
“James did you ask Charlie if you could wear that?” James took the mask off and I saw his frown.
“No momma” He put the mask back down and walked towards me.
“James you have to be more,” I stopped to think of a good word.
“, aware. You scared me and Charlie might have been upset with you”
“I’m sorry Momma” He hugged me, Then yawned causing me to laugh.
“It’s ok why don’t you go back to the bus and take a nap and after your nap we will go get ice cream. Ok?” He nodded yawning again before walking off towards the bus.
“Im sorry I wouldn’t have let him wear it if I had known”
“It’s ok Dan” I walked back to the guys.
”Where’s James?”
“He went to take a nap.”
The guys all nodded before going back to talking.
“Hey Storm” I lifted my head to Arin who was walking over to me.
“Sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier but my name is Arin, Arin Illejay” He held his hand out to shake which I gladly accepted.
“I’m Ashley Mell, or Storm Mell.”
“Well I have heard many things about you and I was wondering if you cared to go for a small walk so I could talk to you about something” I gave him a weird look.
“I promise its nothing weird just a gift kinda to the guys” I reluctantly agreed.
LATER THAT DAY
JOHNNY
Arin approached me about having Storm replace him in the show tonight. He thinks that it would be a good idea to bring the family back together. I completely agreed only if Storm agreed.
“JC!” I turned and saw Arin jogging over to me.
“Hey what’s up Arin?”
“She said yes”
“Alright do you know tonight’s setlist to give to her?”
“The usual?”
“Yeah and make sure she knows the encore songs”
“Alright”
CONCERT
BRIAN
“Ready to rock it?” We were about to go on everyone was finishing their warm ups and everything. Arin and Johnny kept walking out into the halls and making weird excuse and Arin had just been acting off today. He had them set his drum set differently and everything. Something was definitely up.
“Avenged on in 2!” That was our cue to head on out. We all headed out and they handed us our instruments. I heard the crowd cheering and we all walked out. Matt started by playing the Organ. I walked to my side and sat waiting for my turn. It was an experience beyond life to perform in front of thousands of people. I didn’t even focus on anything but my guitar for the next 3 songs. We were at Seize the day when we usually let Johnny sing. Instead I watched him walk over to Matt before he introduced the song. Matt stepped back and handed him the mike.
“Everyone having a good time?!” The crowd cheered.
“Well I know we are having a good time and I know who else is having a good time” I looked at Zacky and then Matt.
“Let’s all give a big round of applause for our friend Storm!” We all looked around but then I looked up to the riser and saw her standing and waving.
“She has been in the Avenged family for 11 years and Arin decided that since she was here he was gonna step back tonight and let her come out and spend some time with her family” The crowd awed and cheered.
“So normally I start this song off sing along if you know the words” I smiled as we started Seize the Day.
BRIAN
It was almost the last song and I couldn’t help but smile as I looked up and saw Tor sitting behind the drum set. I wouldn’t want it any other way now a days.
“Matt I think it’s time for Ashley to stop hiding” I watched as Matt looked over his Aviators. Zacky Johnny and even Ashley were looking at me.
“Ashley come on down. I think you should play guitar for this song” Everyone was shocked. I never would do this normally but it’s Tor this is the only time this will EVER happen.
“Im going to let her take it for this next song” She walked over and I took my guitar off and helped her get the strap over her head.
“Are you sure Brian? This is your thing. It’s your life” I shook my head.
“But this is the one time I can share it with you” I hugged her.
“Thank you”
ASHLEY
Arin came out and brought James with him up to the riser to play for the song. I smiled seeing James totally hamming it up right now.
The string intro started and I couldn’t help but smile. Zacky and I met in the middle to begin. I ended up singing the chorus’ with Brian and his mike stand and I did Jimmy’s vocals. It was heart breaking to do and I couldn’t help but cry. Finally it came to the solo. I almost didn’t want to do it but I did with a push from Brian. I was on the middle riser playing the solo. When I was playing I couldn’t help but look out at the crowd It was a stand room only out door area with at least 10,000 people. This is my dream and its playing for one night only. When I was done I flpped off the riser and and ran back over to Brian.
“Show off” He yelled into my ear. I smiled and nodded. When the song was over I wanted to cry. MB came out and grabbed my guitar as Brian pulled me center stage. I waved Arin and James to come down. We all met in the center and got into a line, arms over each others shoulders (and James on Arin’s shoulders). I felt the cameras and I felt the energy. This was the dream and It was real.
