Sierra's POV

'' You know , I've never been the kind of girl to get into a serious relationship with someone ... '' I said softly to Brian . We'd woken up only a few minutes ago , and we'd decided that we'd just stay in bed , and talk . The bus was moving , so none of us was really keen on getting up .

I giggled softly as Brian softly rubbed the back of my shoulder , and furrowed his eyebrows slightly .

'' What ? I was never able to stay too long in a relationship . I just , I mean I guess ... I always got bored ... And I get bored really easily anyways ... '' I mumbled and looked down a bit , but Brian gently forced my chin up , and asked ...

'' So , you are saying that you are going to wake up one day , and just walk away ? '' , and I giggled as I shook my head ...

'' Nah I don't think I'd do that ... '' I said softly , but still Brian's expression didn't change . His eyes looked hurt ...

'' Hey , hey , what's wrong ? '' I asked him , but he casted his eyes away from mine .

'' Nothing ... '' he mumbled , and shut his eyes closed once again ...

'' Are you serious ? Brian , look at me ... '' I pleaded , but he didn't respond . So I got on top of him , forcing him to look at me as he tried to look away again . He grunted slightly ...

'' What ? '' he asked weakly , and I looked at him skeptically...

'' What happened ? '' I asked softly , and he closed his eyes again , and sighed again ...

'' Nothing ... I guess I should just get used to the idea that one day you are going to walk away ... And just be satisfied that we'll last that long ... '' he whispered , and I frowned instantly ...

'' I didn't mean it like that .... You know that Br - '' I tried saying , but he shook his head once again ...

'' You don't have to say anything , I g-et it ... Nothing lasts forever anyways ... '' he said bitterly , but I caressed his cheek softly as I leaned forward and whispered ...

'' What I said was about the past ... MY past ... But Brian , you ' ve changed me ... I , I can feel that ... And you might say that nothing lasts forever , but I promise you ... '' I paused and placed my hand softly over his heart , smiling slightly as I felt his heartbeat .

'' I promise that we will last ... Because I want to stay with you for as long as possible ... So don't you dare think anything different ... '' I finished , and noticed he was now smiling again ...

'' You really mean that ? '' he asked quietly , and I nodded excitingly .

'' Yes I do ... Brian you ... you feel really important to me ... And it's crazy and all , but I don't care ... '' I mumbled , and giggled as Brian crushed his lips on mine .

'' You know I feel the same way , Sierra ... '' he said after we broke the kiss ...

'' And I want you to know , I'll be by your side ... Through this whole , scary ride , I'll stand right beside you . And I promise you I won't let him hurt you again ... In any f*cking way ... '' he whispered , and I nodded slowly , knowing that he was referring to Noel .

'' It ... I-t means a lot , Brian ... Hearing you say this ... But I don't want you to get hurt because of me ever again ... I'd hate myself if something like that happened ... '' I said softly , and Brian looked straight in my eyes .

'' Well , I'd hate myself if anyone hurt you ... So I'm going to do the best I f*cking can to not let it happen , Sierra ... '' he said strongly , and right then I felt him shivering slightly ...

'' Brian , are you c-old or something ? '' I asked , worried that he might have caught a cold from last night .

'' N-o , baby ... I'm fine ... It's , w-ell , it-'s ... '' he tried saying , but right then it suddenly made
sense ... Drugs

'' The drugs , right ? '' I asked quietly , and he nodded weakly ...

'' Baby , I swear I'll stop ... But right now we have the shows and everything , s-o it's kind of hard to d-o it ... I get the minimum doze though , I promise ... '' he tried reassuring me ...

'' No , it's fine ... I can't control you , you can do whatever you want ... If you want to play games with your own life , then so be it ... '' I said bitterly , and got off of him , and curled in my side .

'' Sierra , c'mon now ... '' I heard Brian saying , but I didn't respond and remained right where I was , and simply said to him ...

'' Let's just sleep until we reach the f*cking venue ... '' and then closed my eyes , trying to get some sleep as Brian sighed loudly and cursed under his breath quietly .

Sierra's POV

I'd just finished my sound check , and was about to leave when I heard noises from somewhere backstage . I hadn't even talked to Brian after that argument of ours in the bus , seeing that the time schedule was really tight .

So , the moment I heard those noises , I decided to discover what they were , so I softly made my way towards them . I could already tell that one of them belonged to Brian , though I couldn't recognize the other persons' voices ...

'' C'mon man , take some ... You look like f*cking sh*t ... You won't be able to make it through the f*cking night without it ... '' one of the voices said , and I heard Brian responding ...

'' N-o , man ... I'll be fine ... I don't f*cking need this anymore . I'll quit , that's why I called you ... '' , he said strongly , and I couldn't help but smile at his words ...

'' Yeah right man . You know that's not exactly the way it goes . You can't quit like that ... You need this ... You'll f*cking pass out on stage if you don't get your doze ... '' another voice said , and I winced slightly . This voice sounded , well , a lot worse than the last one ...

'' I can f*cking quit whenever I f*cking want to , Mark ... And I choose to do it now . '' Brian responded , and I heard loud laughs coming out as a response , but then the sound of a gun coming out cut everything . I managed to control the scream that threatened to make its way out of my mouth , and moved in such way that I could see what was happening . One guy had a gun pointed at Brian , when another held him there . It was obvious that Brian could knock the second guy out in a heartbeat , but for some weird reason he chose not to do it ...

'' Really , now Mark ? Are you going to shoot me like that ? In a place full of security guards ? That's your brilliant plan ? I'm surprised . I never thought you were that dumb ... '' Brian said , but the guy didn't move from his spot ...

'' I'm not going to shoot you , Brian ... I'm going to shoot your b*tch though ... '' he said , and I saw Brian now glaring strongly at the guy ...

'' You wouldn't f*cking touch her , because I'd kill you before even got the chance to stand anywhere near her ...'' Brian sneered , and the guy laughed ...

'' I have f*cking tickets ... I'll be in the crowd , Brian . And you know I can do that . Because you let me in ... And I'll be able to do the exact same thing everywhere , in every single place you guys choose to play ... You know , Brian , I have a f*cking excellent aiming ability . Be sure I'll put a bullet in her f*cking tiny head ... '' the guy , Mark , said , and I cringed as I saw Brian's shoulders falling in defeat ...

'' You wouldn't f*cking do that ... I can get you kicked out of here in a matter of f*cking seconds ... '' Brian growled , and Mark moved and grabbed him by his neck .

'' So ? You might kick me out of this f*cking venue , but what if I'm standing right in the middle of the f*cking crowd in your next stop ? Or the one after ? Will you be able to f*cking protect her then ? '' he spat at Brian , and I saw that his eyes had turned into slits .

'' I'll f*cking make sure you are not allowed entrance in any f*cking venue ... '' Brian said strongly , but Mark kept his hold on him , and I could swear I saw him tightening it even more ...

'' So what if I don't get her now , huh ? You know I've heard your pretty bitch already has people running after her ... Following her ... You think she could f*cking take it if some more men were after her ? '' Mark said tauntingly , and I could tell that Brian somehow gave up struggling against his hold .

'' Tell me , Gates , you honestly think you can protect her from everything ? From us ? '' Mark pressed , and Brian casted his eyes down .

'' Now , I see we understand each other , don't we ? '' the other guy holding Brian said to him , and I watched in horror as Brian nodded .

'' F*cking fine ... '' , and immediately both of the guys took their hands off of him , and smiled .

'' Alright then , here you go ! '' , Mark said excitingly , and handed Brian two small , white packages . Brian stuffed them in his pocket , and gave him some cash in return . Mark grabbed the f*cking dollars as if they were pure gold , and held his hand out to Brian .

'' Always pleasure making business with you , man ... '' he smiled at Brian , while he tried shaking his hand . Brian , however , reached and grabbed his hand pulling him closer to him .

'' If you f*cking hurt her , I'll f*cking kill you ... Stay away from her ... '' he growled , and immediately let go of Mark's hand .

'' As long as you keep your end of the deal , she'll be safe ... from us ... '' Mark assured Brian , and he nodded to the other guy , signaling that it was time they walked away .

They left , but Brian stayed there . I remained in my spot , waiting to see what he'd do with the f*cking drugs he'd just purchased . I really wanted him to take them out and throw them away , burn them , destroy them in some way . However , that was not his reaction . Brian kept everything in his pockets , and simply walked away from the scene .

Right then , I had no idea what my reaction should be . I was beyond shocked that Brian was doing this whole thing only to protect me , but in the same time I felt betrayed . He hadn't told me anything about this whole thing , and I couldn't help but wonder why . Why would he hide something like that from me , especially now that he knew all there was to know about Noel and his gang or something .

I decided I wouldn't let him know I'd heard everything , instead I'd try and act normal around him , just to see if he'd actually explain everything to me .

Brian's POV

I was beyond pissed right at that moment . I'm not an addict or anything , but after Jimmy passed I've been doing drugs a lot more than I used to . But that was all before I met Sierra . She'd changed my f*cking world , and I wanted to become better , healthier , just for her .

And right when I tell myself I'm ready to walk away from my addiction , f*cking Mark starts threatening her life . Now , I know that he wouldn't be able to hurt her when she was on stage . But what about when she's not on stage , or generally off - tour ? No one could be able to guarantee that Sierra would be safe from him and his f*cking people . And though I can risk anything , even my own life , I would never risk Sierra's safety .

So I headed back to our bus fast , and went straight in the bathroom . I flushed the one bag down the toilet almost at the speed of light . However , I couldn't bring myself to get rid of the second one .

I could already feel myself shaking , I could tell I'd be shivering a lot . I needed my doze , even if it was just the minimum one so that it would make me able to finish the whole concert .

But I didn't want to let Sierra down . I knew she was already upset with me since the f*cking morning , and I really didn't want to make things worse . Of course , if I didn't take my doze , I had no idea whether or not I'd be able to perform tonight . So I simply stood there , just staring at the white package in my hands , wondering what the hell I should do . However , a voice interrupted my thoughts , and forced me to meet a pair of wide , sad orbs ...

'' Just f*cking take it ... ''
