Best Friends Forever

As soon as the next day rolled around I took out my phone and checked the messages. There was definitely a lot of
"Damn this guy is hot." and "U R so lucky to be hangin w/ him!" and "Awww he is so pretty :3" and "I am totally jealous."
I couldn't help but smile. Yeah I was pretty lucky to have someone like Brendon in the house. Then the thought kicked in: I never told anyone about Ryan. Like it mattered anyway and besides, I'm pretty sure I would end up making more people envious of me; not like that was a bad thing. I then heard a knock at my door:
"Come in!" I said, replying to my friends at the same time.
"Honey, I know we haven't been out of the house for a while" Oh, it was my mom, "So we are heading to the park for the afternoon."
No, not another family outing thing. I mean it sounds pretty selfish that I don't want to hang out with my parents, but Brendon and Ryan... I wanted to talk and hang out with them today. Then I thought about it.
"Mom." I started, "Can Brendon and Ryan come with?"
"Honey, this is a family thing."
I started to give her puppy dog eyes, "Please, they are my new friends! We all get along great and they are super nice."
It was quiet for a minute until a defeated look fell on her face, "Oh alright."
"Yay! Thanks mom! Hey they haven't been out of the house yet either."
"Yes, yes I understand hun." She starts walking out the door down the stairs, "We are leaving in 10 minutes." She shouts back up to me.
"Got it!" I shout back.
As soon as I am done replying to my friends I head across the hall to Brendon and Ryan's room. I stop in front of their door. They are playing music again. The sound makes me smile. I then just wait a while until they have finished playing whatever song they were playing. As soon as the room practically goes silent I knock a few times.
"Come in!" I hear Brendon shout.
I opened the door slowly, "Hey guys." I say as I walk into the room.
Picture this: Brendon and Ryan sitting side-by-side on one of the beds. They are both sitting cross legged with their knees practically touching. There is an almost permanent smile on both of the boys faces. Brendon has an acoustic in his hands fiddling with some chords while Ryan's hands lay in his lap. Oh, they were so cute.
"Hey Alice." Ryan says.
"Hey Ryan." I say.
"Wassup Alice?" Brendon says, a definite hype in his voice.
"Well I was wondering if you guys wanted to come to the park with me and my mom and dad?"
"Sure." Brendon gets out, almost automatically.
"Yeah why not?" Ryan says.
"Yeah well we are going to be leaving in a few minutes so you guys should probably get ready." I say, not that there was anything wrong with what they were wearing currently, but they probably just needed shoes.
"Alright." They both said at the same time.
I then left their room and went back to mine to get my pair of shoes that I was going to wear. As soon as I got them on I went downstairs to see my mom and dad talking to each other in the kitchen.
My dad noticed me, "Hey Al." Yeah that was the nickname he gave to me.
"Hey dad!" I went over to him.
He gave me a serious look, "You know this was supposed to be a family day."
"I know." I say, a little guilty.
"We haven't had one for a while with my busy job and your mother's help with getting everything organized in the house."
I was dead silent, just listening to what he had to say. It really wasn't worth going against someone like my father.
"But, this time... it's fine." He left off.
I couldn't help but feel relieved and happy at the same time, "Thanks dad!" I gave him a hug.
"Just remember: Next time it will only me you, me, and your mother."
"I understand, dad." I tell him.
He then releases me and goes back to what he was doing: helping pack the food with mom.
I then just wait by the stairs for Brendon and Ryan.
It had been at least 2 minutes and my mother came from the kitchen by the door to grab her purse.
"Are your friends almost ready, dear?" She asks me.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure they will be down soon." I say. Okay call me a liar. I wasn't sure at all if they were ready.
I then heard talking and looked back towards the stairs. There they were and they both changed their whole entire outfits.
As soon as my dad brought the picnic basket out from the kitchen we made our way to the park.
As soon as we got there I headed towards the swings. What? I'm still young at heart and besides, who doesn't love the swings?
As for Brendon and Ryan, they went somewhere else.
After at least about an hour of swinging and going across the bars a few times I went to try to find them.
I then saw them out on the big grassy field. They were passing a football to each other. My dad had one in the car so it was mostly likely that one. I couldn't help but just stand there and watch them. They looked like such best friends now and it was all because of music? That never happened to me with anyone who stayed here before. Then again I didn't know how to play an instrument and I wasn't the best singer.
After a while my dad called, "Time to eat!"
At that moment I immediately headed to my mom and dad. I didn't want to look like I was just watching the new best friends.
As soon as we were done eating I joined in whatever activity Brendon and Ryan were going to do. In that time I really felt like I was bonding with them and it wasn't just like they were bonding with each other and I was totally left out. That evening was probably the most fun I ever had since I never got out much with friends.

I know. The chapter ends like really fast and there isn't a lot of detail and its totally like an unnecessary random pointless chapter, but there is some cute little bonding stuff in there that I hoped you liked. :P Hey I am not the best writer and I like to get to the point sometimes.
