Remember When

“Without Gerard, I was nothing. It was as if my heart had been ripped from my body, sliced into a million pieces and then crushed. Gerard himself had reached into my chest and had taken what belonged to him. I had gasped for breath and had stood up, almost automatically, as I had been unable to feel my legs. I had run away from him, away from everything, I had left.”



This is a short Frerard story, inspired by Avril Lavigne’s ‘Remember When’. All dialogue is taken from the lyrics to this song except for one line; ’I’ve cheated on you.’ I wrote this story whilst listening to the song at night. I’ve always loved this song since it came out and it’s beautiful. It inspired me to write this story straight away. I didn’t plan this story, I just imagined it all happening whilst listening to the song.

I do not own any of the characters; Gerard, Frank & Bert. Bert is not mentioned by name in the story, so it doesn’t have to be him. However, I pictured it to be him when writing it.
