Jorge and Byron have been secretly dating. It's not that they were embarrassed, but they were afraid of what people would do if they found out about them. They attented a school full of homophobes. So anything could happen. Especially since they were considered to be the hottest guys in the 8th grade.
Byron liked the attention of other girls, while Jorge did not. Jorge would get jealous when other girls (and possibly boys..) would look at Byron in a different way. But even though Byron and Jorge got into some arguments, they still proved that they love each other.
