On the day Thaddeus Kenneth Lynne met the devil, it was an almost average day. He was going to school, listening to a chapel service, and meeting a demon with the intent to harm a few hundred kids. An almost average day indeed. He defeated the evil, got a visit from the handsome stick-in-the-mud Captain Herow, and got the briefing on a princess who would visit them and help them save a few hundred million lives.
Hoshi isn't her real name. She isn't really an orphan. She isn't really normal.Instead, she's a princess. Instead, she's a cage for a monster so evil everyone in the world is looking for it. She gets trapped in a deal with a silly little collection of do-gooders called the Communion of Sinners and all the while getting captured in a deal with a Lantor, a master, who is thirteen years old. An Orphan King, as he is called in the Communion.
When their worlds collide, they all get more then they bargin for and it's not too long before secrets start spill from the Devil in his beautiful disguise.
