Times Are Changing

Moving plans.

Wake up, make breakfast, get the kid ready, clean up, play with the kid and sit with the Father. My schedule for the day. May sound boring, but with David it is never boring.

"So, I was thinking of looking at some houses," yep never boring.

"Oh?" I reply, raising a brow.

"Mhmm," he confirms with a nod.
"Would you be interested?"

"Sure," I smile.

"Cool," he comments and lifted Dominic up. I watched as he tossed our son on the couch playfully, gaining a disapproved look from me. "What?" he innocently questions.

"I try to teach him that the couch isn't a playground," I calmly inform with a shake of my head.

"Well when daddy's around, rules bend," he teases. One look at my expression, he shuts up.
"I mean."

"Yeah, that's right," I mouthed and then air kissed at him. David shook his head with a smile.

"Daddy!" Dominic jumps up, trying to get in David's arms.

"Hello kiddos!" David's mom abruptly enters with a smile.

"Someone looks a little happy," I comment, giving David the 'look' and a wink.

"Ugh," David groans. "Come on Dominic, this is women talk."

"Oh yes, very," she purrs, starting for the stairs.
"I need to shower."

"Oh wow," I laugh, she winks at me and hurries up them. I shake my head with a giggle and look around for David and Dominic. I went outside when suddenly I heard them RAWR, which made me jump. "Hey."

"Got her!" David laughed, and Dominic joined with his cute kid giggles.

"Yay!" Dominic cheered, high fiving David. I playfully roll my eyes.

"Come here," I evilly grin and thus David lifts Dominic up and runs.

"Hurry, momma beast is gonna get us!" David roleplays, running inside with Dominic on his shoulders now. I make some weird animal growl and chase after them.

"Oh no!" Dominic mimicks, covering his mouth as he stared back at me. I couldn't help the big grin from coming across my face as we all collapsed on the couch.

"Okay, daddy is tired," David huffs with a smile.
"Let's watch a movie."

"Yay!" Dominic claps, watching his father set the movie up. I snuggled Dominic as the beginning credits start to play. David walks over and sits next to me, wrapping his arm around me. I have Dominic in my lap, with his back pressed against me, as my back is pressed against David's. Suddenly we saw a flash and glanced over to see David's mom with a camera.

"Too cute," she squeals and leaves us to our little family time. I bit my lip as I returned my attention to the movie. This whole moment was surreal.

...

The next day, David awoke me.

"Get dressed," he purred in my ear. I stretch out and yawned.

"Hmm?" I ask, opening my eyes after squealing with satisfaction from my lovely stretch.

"We're going to look at houses," he proudly informs.

"This early?" I glance at the clock, it's eight in the morning.

"Yes," he nods. "I already fed Dominic breakfast, now come on."

"Okay, okay," I giggle then stood. It was nice having David around, he actually takes care of Dominic. Nathan would sleep in and I had to wake up early all the time. I quickly jumped in the shower for ten minutes, washed off and got out. I glanced outside, taking mental notes of the clouds. I decided on ripped jeans, a thin slip over the head hoodie that has a pocket in the front, and my good old trusty vans. I let my hair fall down to air dry, loosely, running a hand through it.

"Ready?" David called from down stairs.

"Ready!" I reply, descending from the second floor. David glanced over and had a breathless look on his face as he stared at me. I nervously looked away, chewing on the insides of my lip. "What?"

"Nothing," he shook his head with a smile.
"Come on."

"Okay, okay," I laugh following him as he had Dominic in his arms. Dominic was dressed in some jeans as well, along with a Spiderman sweater. David on the other hand, wore fit dark blue jeans that weren't skinnies nor baggy. A band shirt that the short sleeves at the arm were a bit tight to reveal his arm muscles. His hair shaggy and left wild, and his shoes plain black with white laces, like my own.

"I'm looking forward to this," David told Dominic as he buckled him in.

"I am sure," I yawn as I got in the passenger seat.

"Aren't you?" David inquires, getting in the drivers side and stared at me with his brows raised.

"It will be nice being in our own home," I assure with a smile.
"Budgeting is scary though."

"I'll have my mom show you, she used to be an accountant," David informs as if I didn't know that already. I simply nod, and stare out the window with a smile. After a twenty minute drive into the more richer, nicer homes, we were finally at destination number one.

"Two story?" I sigh. I knew he wanted a big house, but I was hoping for a one story so it didn't seem so big, plus if Dominic gets clutsy.

"Yee," David childishly replies with a grin.
"I'm ex-shy-ted!"

"Mhmm," I giggle and got out. I grabbed Dominic, seeing as it was only fair considering he put him in the car first. I follow behind David as he greets the young female realtor.

"Lovely to meet you," she says in an all too friendly voice, her eyes mainly on David.

"Pleasure," I dryly reply, gaining an amused grin from David. I roll my eyes in the other direction and take in the front yard.

"So, we have a four bedroom, three and a half bath, along with two living rooms, a full sized kitchen, two dining rooms, one formal and one for like a brunch. The counter tops all granite, and beautiful moldings lining the rooms," she described this so professionally. "The garage fits five cars, if need be, and also has a little area for any work space you may need. It also has access to what you can use as a fifth room, but we can't call it that for it doesn't have a proper closet."

"Lovely," David comments and nods with each statement. I couldn't help but stiff a laugh at how he tries to be so proper around her, just because she's a 'professional'. However, she did not look professional. Her shirt was a low cut, and exposed most of her breasts. Her skirt was way too short, and I swear if she bent over I could see her lingerie. The make up on her face was horribly done, and way too much if you ask me.

"Monique?"

I snap out of my thoughts and glance at David.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Do you like the kitchen?" He repeats himself. I look up and my breath got knocked out of my lungs. I was in heaven.

"Wow," I gasp. The realtor smiled with approval as she waved her arms around, showing off the place.

"Isn't it beautiful? There's even a lovely panty with frosted glass doors, to add a more elegant effect," she adds. I roll my eyes at her terms with my back facing her.

"Down?" Dominic asks, at which I oblige. Glancing over to make sure the front door was locked. Around the kitchen was the brunch dining room, which connected to another living room, aside from the main entrance. I sighed at the size.

"What do you think?" I inquire, standing next to David and leaned my cheek against his arm. Our hands entwining.

"I love this house, I wanted to see this one first," he commented. I playfully roll my eyes, enjoying the earth tone colors that they chose for the walls, it would be easy to decorate elegantly. Great now I am thinking like her.

"What's the backyard look like?" I peek over his shoulder. I could care less about the inside, I can make do with that. However the size of the backyard is a concern for me. Of course, I am not surprised. A beautiful pool with glass walls surrounding it, along with cement walk ways, an area to play basket ball and two full size lawns. I let out another breath. This was place was perfect.

"Mommy likey?" David purrs in my ear, as we made it to the living room. Built in area for a flat screen TV, along with surround sound speakers already prepared.

"Mommy likey," I confirm. David snagged Dominic as we went up stairs, which conveniently already has child proof gates at each end. I let out another sigh of content.

"There's a bathroom here, which is the half bathroom, conveniently at the landing on the stair case," she points out, opening the door and turning the light on. Of course, beautiful powder blue. I nod. We continue to the first room, nice size with built in desk at the side.

Skipping all the extra bedrooms and bathrooms, we make it to the master. Large, with high ceilings and the bathroom was beautiful. A full size, jacuzzi tub next to the three person sized glass walled shower. Perfect.

"Love it," I breathed out. How could I ever imagined myself years ago, living in a place like this? I bit my bottom lip and felt my eyes light up when we walked outside to take one last look at the outside. Circular drive, large windows, light brown walls with darker brown linings. The lawn was gorgeous, along with a fountain and willow tree.

"Let's go look at the others, shall we?" Our realtor proposed. Keeping our options open, we did. However, David and I both agree that nothing compares to the first house.

"We made a decision," David interupted before she wanted to show us another house. We already saw three more, and Dominic was becoming restless.

"Of course, I'll draw up the paperwork," she nods.

"But you don't know which one it is," I inform.

"It's the first one," she giggled.

"How did you know?" I tilt my head to the side.

"The look in all of your eyes," she answers with a swift turn of her heel to face her vehicle. "I shall see you around tomorrow afternoon? Since David took it upon himself to already be approved. This shall go smoothly."

"Have a good day!" David hollers and waves at her, he lifted Dominic up and put him inside his car seat.

"Already approved?" I furrow my brows.

"Yeah, about a week ago," he shrugs as if it weren't a big deal.

"Oh really now?" I raise my brows.
"When were you going to tell me?"

"You honestly can't say you are upset," he chuckles.
"I ended my side of the deal with Kiley as well."

"So you...gave up the house to her?" I almost choke out. Happy couldn't begin to describe how I feel right now. David just nodded with a smile, in result I smothered him in a hug and kissed him.

"Hey, hey," he brushed me off with a grin.
"Let's go home and tell my mom."

"Okay," I squeal. Making note that I would call my parents as well.

More and more I regret never telling David about Dominic.
