I Can Keep a Secret

Alexs POV:
I had fun teaching Amberlyn to play guitar, shes a natural really. Later that night after she went to bed Jack talked to me about throwing her a surprise party to celebrate graduating and owning a store. She didnt really have one, i mean she went out to dinner with lots of people but Jack wanted to do a special party. I thought it was a good idea. The problem is though, he wants me to keep her away from the house tommarow so he can plan the entire thing for that night. With Rians help, hes to dumb to do it alone. The next morning i woke up to Jack bursting into my room.

"Amberlyns gone!" Jack said freaking out

"What?" i said rubbing my eyes and cuddling with my pillow

"You heard me!, shes gone. Not here!" he said jumping on my bed

"You checked the entire house?" i said pulling him down, i was getting dizzy

"Of course!" he said

"Well calm down im sure shes fine" i said sitting up

"Help find her" he said and i nodded getting up

I went out to the livingroom and picked up my phone, i tryed to call her but she didnt answer. I looked in the back yard. Nothing. I went back to the livingroom and saw her under a tree, i feel stupid for not looking out there before.

"Jack i found her!" i said

"Where?" he asked

"Front yard" i said

"Ohhh" he said walking in the room

"Yeah" i rolled my eyes and went outside and walked over to her and pulled out her headphone and she jumped

"Alex!, you scared me!" she said, she looked cute when she was scared. Is that mean?

"Sorry, Jack was freaking out he didnt know where you were" i said

"Ohhh. Oops i probably should have told him or somthing" she said

"Yeah" i said

"Sorry" she said

"Its cool, so how do you feel about spending the day with your favorite person?" i asked

"Sky?" she said

"No" i said

"...Jack?" she said

"No!, me!" i said

"I guess, doing what?" she asked

"I dont know, we'll just leave and then figure out what we wanna do" i said

"Alright" she said

"Okay just let me shower and get dressed and eat and i'll be ready to go. By the way do you want food?" i asked

"I ate" she said

"Damn you are a early bird. Okay i'll be back later" i said and went inside

A hour later we left and i drove aimlessly, i honestly didnt know where the hell to take her. I decided we should go to the mall so i quickly took the uturn that was coming up and went towards the mall. While i was driving i put on music and started singing, i could see from the corner of my eye Amberlyn was looking at me weird and laughing. I smiled and continued. After a few minutes she turned the music down.

"Okay Alex i get it, you know how to sing your own music. Thats fantastic, but where are we going?" she said, i was singing running from lions

"Uhmm, mall" i said

"Why?" she asked

"Because its the only thing that i could think of. Man your like full of questions huh?, plus you didnt think of anything to do so dont question my ideas woman!" i said and she laughed

"Whatever, freak" she said laughing

"Hell yeah i am" i said

"Why didnt Jack come?" she asked

"He was busy" i said

"With what?" she asked

"Stuff, i dont no. And since when are we playing 20 questions?" i said

"Since im confused" she said

"Wow, your deffinetly Jacks sister" i said

"Shut up!, besides im smarter then him" she said

"Probably" i said and she laughed

"No, deffinetly" she said

We got to the mall and started to walk around, we both didnt need anything so we just walked. After a while i suggested we go upstairs and she looked scared but agreed. Once we got upstairs she looked nervous, it kinda surprised me.

"You alright?" i asked

"Im afraid of heights" she said

"This isnt even really high" i said

"To me it is!" she said

"Its not bad, see" i said walking over to the railing

"Oh come on Alex, im scared!. Get back here" she said

"Relax its okay" i said and went over to her and grabbed her hand, i think i saw her blush. But that just might be me wishing that. She doesnt like me, right?

"I feel like the ground is gonna cave in under me" she said gripping my arm

"It wont" i said

"Can we just go back downstairs?" she said

"I got a better idea, are you up for some iced coffee?" i asked

"Totally" she said

"To dunkin donuts!" i said and we went downstairs

We went to the dunkin donuts drive thru down the street and got some iced coffee and parked in a parking spot. We drank our coffee and talked, she was funny always cracking jokes for some reason. One of the reasons i love her. When i was almost done with my coffee i had a little left so i sipped it as fast as i could, brain freeze. Amberlyn looked at me weird.

"You okay there?" she laughed

"Yes, brain freeze" i said and she laughed

"Man up, its just brain freeze" she said

"So?!. It hurts" i whinned squeezing my eyes shut and putting my drink between my legs and i pressed my palms to my forehead

"Wow" she laughed

"Glad to know my pain is entertaining" i said

"Thats true. But im laughing at your face" she said

"Mean" i said

"Here just press your toungue to the roof of your mouth for a few seconds, it'll help" she said and i did and it started to go away

"Wow that worked, how'd you learn that?" i said

"My dad" she said and i nodded

"So do you wanna show me where your store is?, i havnt seen it yet" i said

"I guess. Should i drive?" she said

"Of course" i said and we switched seats and she drove to her store

She drove for about ten minutes before she finally parked, we were in the parking lot of a shopping plazza. We got out of the car and went to the shop. Inside it was pretty big but empty. She set her bag down and crossed her arms.

"What do you think?" she asked

"Well...i mean its big. Thats good" i said

"Yeah, we start work here in a few days. Im pretty excited" she said

"I bet. What do you plan on doing with it, i mean interior decorated wise" i said

"Well i wanna have the walls a dark-ish perrywinkle blue, theres gonna be the check out counter like in the center, the changing rooms will be against the back wall. Then the racks and tables of clothes and other stuff will be all throughout here" she said

"Sweet. Whats that gonna be for?" i asked pointing to a random little stage

"I dont know, i might have it removed" she said

"Dont!, leave it. We can preform a acoustic set on it opening night. It'll get the store some attention" i said

"Hmmm...sure why not" she said and i smiled excited

We hungout for a little while longer and then i got a text from Jack to bring her back home. We got home i blindfolded her, much to her protest. We walked inside and i pulled off the blindfold and everyone shouted surprise, she looked so happy.

"Like the party?!" Jack said

"Yeah, but whats it for?" she asked

"Its a graduation party!" he said

"Aww this is awesome, thanks Jack" she said hugging him

"Mhmm. Thanks for keeping her busy all day" Jack said to me

"No problem, im just surprised you pulled it off" i said

"Alex was in on this to!?" she said

"Yep" i said

"Awww i love both you guys" she said putting her arms around me and Jack

"Love you to" we said
