Painting Flowers

At age 5, Sophia lost her hearing. At age 10, she lost her best friend. Then at age 20, as if by a trick of fate, she got him back. Now fate seems to be working again when she wakes up one morning to realize she can hear again as if she had never lost her hearing 15 years earlier.

But she soon comes to realize that the way it happened has never been heard of before... No pun intended. How will she explain how it happened? Or better yet, what will she do about it? Will she be able to deal with hearing again after 15 years of silence? Or will she do anything she can to fix it and go back to the silence?
