The Lovers Grimm

"What?"  I whined, pouting much like a child would if they'd gotten
something taken away from them.

"Look, I can't leave you here, and I can't let you go back home without
Juliette or me there." I groaned.

"Whyyyyy?"  The half smile he let lose let me know he was amused, but for
authority's sake didn't want to give in.  "It's cuz you don't trust me,
isn't it?"

He gave me a look begging me not to make him answer that question.

"So," I gave in, "where we goin?"

"Well, it's not so much 'we', just you."  I cocked my eyebrow.

"Excuse me?"

"I've got a case, and you're not exactly allowed to come."

"So where exactly am I going?"

"God." He chuckled as if he found something amusing. "He's gonna kill me."
