At the age of 22 Jacob Black's life is still nothing normal. With Sam Uley finally retiring after the birth of his son, Jacob is now the Alpha of the pack, making Embry his second in command. Jacob is ready to settle down, much like most of the others in his pack. Jared and Kim happily married with their first born on the way, Paul and Racheal being engaged, Quil still taking care of now 8 year old Claire, Embry with his girlfriend Mariah, even Leah has her own imprint.

Marley Rose never had a normal life. She grew up in the large city of Port Angeles. At the age of 21 she has a job most wouldn't approve of but she could care less. Still keeping her job in Port Angeles she decides to move into a smaller house in La Push. Even though it's a longer comute, the rent is a lot cheaper.
