"My dad caught me sneaking in. Again."
"That's too bad. Maybe you shouldn't see Stiles anymore."
"Why? Do you have some vendetta against him or something ?" I asked. Thinking of how Stiles said he disliked Derek, maybe it is mutual.
"He's just an annoying kid who needs to grow up."
"Sure."
"What?" Derek questioned.
"He doesn't like you either."
"I know."
"Well you better be nice," I said, since I am technically friends with the both of them. It would be nice if the two guys I liked did not hate each other, it would just be easier on me.
"Why?"
"We're friends."
"Do you like him?"
"Maybe."
"You could do better!"
"Like who?" I asked, I was curious.
"I don't know."
"You mean someone like you?" I joked.
"Never mind," Derek sent, ignoring my important question.
"It's not like I'm in a serious relationship with him or anything, I'm single."
"Are you asking me out on a date?"
"You're so arrogant."
"Is that a yes?" Derek asked, knowing I was doing just that. Somehow it did not surprise me that he knew; sometimes guys that are good looking know when girls are interested in them.
"Yes."
"Okay then."
"I'm free Friday night," I told him, suggesting a time, getting straight to the point.
"Me too."
"Can you pick me up at 5?"
"I thought you were taking me on a date?" Derek texted, teasing me again.
"Hey now."
"I will pick you up at your house at 5 PM."
"Okay, it's a date," I said smiling at the thought of going on a date with Derek.
"It's a date. I'll see you Friday night."
"Talk to you later Derek. ;)"
"You too." He sent, ending the conversation.
