Chapter eight

I walked over to the main tent to find the set times. I noticed a familiar name playing as of now, Of Mice & Men. I've heard of them around. I made my way to the Of Mice & Men's stage and went up the steps standing by the other people who were watching. I felt bad I didn't know any of their songs so I just stood there awkwardly They actually sound decent. How have I not listened to them before? When their set ended the people walked off the stage probably rushing to their next destination. I was the last to walk off but as I went to go my own way I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see the singer of the band. "I'm sorry, I uh, saw you on the stage. I've actually seen you around at the other dates. Are you playing this year?" "Yeah, I'm on the Monster stage, I came to check out some new bands." "Oh, you don't know who I am then, I'm ." "Austin, I'm Adrienne from Almost Alice." "Oh, yeah, I heard you guys were great." "Can't be as great as you guys. I mean, I can't believe I never heard of you guys before." "Thank you, you should come meet the rest of the guys." I nodded, "I'm not doing anything right now." "Cool, they're probably heading back at our bus already. I hope that doesn't sound creepy." "It does but you seem too nice. Plus, I'll put up a pretty tough fight." "I'll keep that in mind." He laughed. We started towards his bus. "So where have you seen me? I don't think I've seen you this tour." "I uh, saw you yesterday, at the party, actually you stood next to me." "I did? I wasn't really feeling the party last night. Everything is kinda a blur." "I could tell, I was actually going to ask you if you were okay but I blinked for a second and you were gone." I laughed, "Well, that sucks. It would've been nice to have someone to talk to." "Here we are, ladies first." I just kinda stood there, "I'm, uh you can go first." "Are you saying i'm a lady?" "No." I said kind of bashful I didn't want to be the first one, not knowing where I was going. "I'm kidding, no reason to be shy." He said opening the door and stepping on. I followed him on and all the guys were at the front. "Adrienne- that's Tino, ginger is Alan, then Aaron, then phil." Austin said in order, I think. I raised my hand and waved. "Guys, this is Adrienne from the band Almost Alice." Austin introduced then fell silent "Uh Austin." Alan started. "Yea?" Austin simply replied. "You brought her here?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Oh, uh I saw her at the party last night and it just so happens she listened to us for the first time when we played." Goosebumps rose on my skin, I'm so awkward. Austin sat down next to Alan, "Adrienne you can sit down." He added so I sat in the small space beside him. "You guys are quiet as fuck." I suddenly said. "I don't really think fuck is quiet." Tino stated. "It is for some people." I mumbled causing Austin turned to me raising an eyebrow. "What?" I simply asked. Austin just shook his head. "Wait, before we can be friends, what's your favorite house pet." Alan asked. "Cats, my baby is at home and I'm missing her so much right now." Alan reached over Austin with his hand. I raised mine and smacked it. "What's her name?" Austin asked curious. "Aleks, A-L-E-K-S, short for Aleksandra." "Different." I nodded, "I don't like normal." "Neither do any of us." Tino smiled. "So uh, since you're such a mystery, tell us about you." Austin said. "I'm a mystery? I don't know what you want to know. I play guitar and do backup vocals in Almost Alice, I like to party, I share a bus with All Time Low and I think that's the only interesting things about me." "Mystery girl, you're the girl he saw at the party aren't you?" Tino asked. "He just said that." Alan informed lightly smacking him. "So you talked about me huh?" I asked turning to Austin, "Just a bit, like I said, you disappeared in a blink of an eye. I thought it was black magic or something." I laughed "Black magic, interesting." "Hey, it's three fifteen!" Alan screamed. "You made me miss my show Adrienne!" He laughed. Wait three fifteen, fuck- All Time Low. "Hey, I have to go, I'll see you guys at the party?" I rushed my sentence. "Yea, totally, something wrong?" "No, I forgot I promised to go watch someone." "Alright, bye." Austin said and everyone waved. I waved back and hurried off the bus. I quickly made my way to the stage but some fans stopped me and I wasn't going to turn them down. When I finally made it to their set, they were starting their last song. "Where were you?" Derrek asked turning towards me. "I met another band." "Who?" "Of Mice & Men, they're really good, you should check them out with me next time." "You still missed most of their show." "Time got away." "Alex came over here between every song, asking where you were" "Really?" "Yea, I guess he was worried." "I've seen their set plenty of times, and we still have the whole tour." "Yeah, but they come to our set, it's a support thing. Plus, they're your favorite band, last year you would've died to see them so many times." "I know, I know." He was right. I stood watching the rest of the show, I felt worse as time progressed. Support, why I was suppose to be here. I mentally slapped myself. When their set finished, Alex was last off stage. "I'm sorry." I said stopping him. "I'm not mad." "I promised, I feel awful." He shrugged, "It's just a set." He said walking past me and down the stairs. I hurried and rushed after him. When he heard me behind him he turned around, "What came up that was more important?" He wasn't yelling; his voice stayed low. "I met the guys in Of Mice & Men." "Look I was just worried, I didn't know where you were. Neither did Derrek or anyone else for that matter." I pulled him into a hug, "I'm sorry." I guess you could say I'm sensitive to things like this. Suddenly we heard a camera go off. We turned our head to see a group of fans. "I guess we were caught." He laughed. "I guess so. I'm seriously sorry." "I told you i'm not mad." "You are." "I'm not, come on let's tend to these kids before they start to think something." "They already are thinking something." I laughed breaking out of the hug and started walking to the fans. "Nope." Alex said grabbing me from behind. "Alex!" I screamed. The fans grabbed their camera. "Alex I told you I was afraid of heights earlier." "I know." "Put me down." I screamed. "Are none of you going to help me?" I asked looking at the fans. "I'm on Alex's side." One of them spoke up. "Ohhhh." Alex laughed."None of you are getting pictures then." "Don't worry guys, I'll take pictures with you." "Alex put me down!" "Say you'll dance with me tonight at the party and I will." "That's not fair." "Say yes!" Two girl fans said at the same time. "Alex, you're not that strong. You can't hold me forever." "Yeah, so hurry and say yes because my arms are getting tired." "Alex put me down." "Jack!" Alex screamed. Turning around to look for him. "He's already back at the bus. Ha!" He frowned and put me down then looked at the fans. "I tried guys." He then turned back to me and made a pouty face. "Let's sign their stuff." I said making my way to the fans. "We won't let you until you say yes." One said. I turned back to Alex, my jaw almost touching the ground. He shrugged, "Say yes." "I'm bad at dancing." "So am I." "Fine, yes but only because your fans wanted me to." I said turning back to the kids. I started signing their bags and tickets. Finally the last girl approached, "You guys are so cute." she mentioned. "Thanks, but we're just friends." I cleared hoping she'd also share it to others. "You won't be for long." "I don't think we'll be getting together anytime soon. He's got loads of girls over him." My thoughts slightly peered through. She shook her head, "He's got a crush on you." I handed her ticket back to her. "Can I have a hug, I, uh, your music has helped me so much." I smiled pulling her into a tight warm hug. "Thank you for supporting us." "You don't understand how much your song, Wanted has helped me." "It helped me writing that song." "If you don't mind me asking, why'd you write that song?" "Uh, I wrote the song because I went through a rough patch, actually i'm still going through it, I never feel important to anyone, I don't feel wanted. I wrote that song to remind myself I have a band, I have you guys and I should be grateful, it's just kind of a reminder." "You are wanted. You are, I think a little more by Alex then any of us, but you are." She pulled back out of the hug, She smiled, walking away and I turned back to Alex. "I, um, gotta go change." "Hey, is that true?" "What?" "About not feeling uh, wanted?" "Uh, It is. Yeah." I said slightly picking at my shirt.

SORRY THIS CAME LATE TODAY I got lazy..

I feel like everytime I check the story I'm going to have less subscriptions but I always come back with more. I'm so confused asdkl. Uh I decided to just go with Of Mice & Men since that's who I had it written for to begin with. Also if you're a fan- these are the current members. I just figured using the older members would get a little confusing and I haven't seen any of the interviews or pretty much any of the others. I'm not a fan of Of Mice & Men so I'm sorry if I'm a bit off. I watched so many interviews for the sake of the story but I don't think I've fit the personality perfectly. Thank you for reading. :D
