Esia's Protector

We looked amongst each other. My worries for Dante were so obvious that my sisters had noticed. Britney leaned in closer to me.

“Esia. Charlene, we’re going to sing one more song, and then you can go find Dante,” she said.

“Thank you,” I appreciated.

The musician changed the beat into a much faster paste. We began to do to our dance steps. We’ve waited for 33 seconds to start singing. I stepped up first.

After the song had ended, we quickly ran backstage. I changed into my street clothes then headed out the door. I didn’t want to take a cab or taxi. I looked here and there. So, I took out my iphone to search for Dante’s number. His phone was ringing, but there was no answer. What is going on?

I placed my iphone into my pocket. I didn’t know which way to go; making up my mind, I turned to my right. Did I walk? No, I ran that way. I ran as fast as I could. After about a good hour, I found this puddle of blood.

“…Blood? I hope it’s not Dante’s blood,” I said to myself.

I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was behind me. I turned around to see, and there he… “Dante”, but something is…. A bit off about him, when did Dante ever warren blue, and has his hair slit back? Not only that…, where is his guns and his huge sword. I stood on my fee standing face to face with Dante. I’d forced a smile on my face.

“Dante, you’re alright,” I said relieved.

He looked away from me to see the blood. His eyes came back to me. When I see his eyes…. It’s like his not all there. And it’s very cold. I walked slowly towards him.

“Dante, it’s me, Es—,” but he cut across me.

“I know who you are, Esia.” He said.

My eyes widen, and my body backed away from him.

“Dante…is unable to protect you,” he said.

I shook my head. This man isn’t Dante, he has the face like him; the hair color like him, but he’s not him. Is he a Dante’s imposter? I reached for my stun gun.

“Who are you?” I asked.

He slowly approached me, slowly drawing his sword out.

“My name isn’t important right now,” he said, “I have a question for you myself,” he said.

I turned to run, but he was already there in front of me.

“What is your motivation?” he asked.
