Rich is trying to get out to her boyfriend that she's a boy. That's who she is, and is born in the wrong body. James isn't much help. He can't seem to make time for Rich much anymore.
James is certain that Damien is the one, too bad Cole doesn't think so. Not only that, but trying to know Damien is dangerous. There's an age gap between the two and sneaking around is criminal. James can't even bring himself to tell anyone about his new love. Along with it all, he's just started testosterone, which only his mother and Damien know about.
Rich's and James's friend ship is starting to crumble. Will James get the courage to spill his secrets in order to keep the friend ship? Or will things be ruined, so ruined they can't be fixed?
