Don't Forget

"What now?"

Mia was happy for the silence on the way home. They pulled right up to her front door. “Thanks.” Mia said. She reached for the handle and heard the sound of all the locks locking at the same time. “What now?” She huffed.

“You never answered my question?”

“What question?” Mia asked then she thought of one of the billion questions he bombarded her with in his hall way, “Yes I get my eyes from my mom.”

“No not that question.” Connor laughed.

“What question then?”

“What power would you have?”

Mia’s eyebrow lifted. He couldn't be serious. She shrugged, “Probably telekinesis or like all of Jean Grey’s powers. I could move shit, fly, and tell people what to do all with my mind. I could even find out why you look at me like that.”

He finally blinked and then smirked, “That’s the loudest and most you've really spoken all evening.”

Mia felt her face get hot as she turned away. She was hoping to catch him off guard for once and he’d managed to reverse it on her. “So?”

“I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said unlocking the doors again.

“What?” Mia looked to him again, “Why?”

“Isn't it obvious,” He said leaning towards her. For one panicked Mia thought he was going to kiss her. He opened her car door, “I like talking to you.”

It was simple for him.” Ok..” Mia got out of the car and Connor rolled down the passenger side window. Mia leaned down to hear what he had so say.

“I’ll come by around noon. I need to clean my room.”

“Ok,”

“You should wear a bra tomorrow.” Connor glanced down and then met her eyes again.

“What?” Mia crossed her arms over her chest and sat up straight, mortified. Connor laughed out loud before pulling out of her driveway and driving away.
