Midnight

They don't know about us.

"It's going to be crazy, FYI." Sophia warned as they walked from her car to the back of the venue. She had contacted Londyn around lunch time and the pair had grabbed a bite of food and just hung out together until it was close to the boys concert.

"Oh I bet." She chuckled already imaging the screaming girls.

"You probably won't be able to hear them." She chuckled causing Londyn to laugh, "I don't need to. Harry sings enough."

"You sure you two don't like each other?" Sophia came out and asked and Londyn laughed, "Not like that, no."

"Really?"

"Yeah, we're just friends." She stated as she called the boy they were talking about.

"Well hello, are you here?" Harry asked as soon as he picked up.

"No, I'm just calling to chat."

"Smart ass. I'll be there in a minute."

They hung up as they reached the door, which of course was locked and within seconds it flew open revealing Harry.

"Hey guyssss come on in."

Sophia rolled her eyes before walking in causing Londyn to laugh.

"Hey you." Harry spoke flashing her a smile as he closed the door behind them.

"Hey."

He threw his arm over her shoulders, "Going to be fun tonight."

"I'm sure."

He chuckled as they followed Sophia to a room where all the guys were hanging out just waiting to perform.

"Londyn, good to see you again." Liam spoke with a smile as Sophia sat beside him and kissed his cheek.

"Hello Liam, sorry I forgot my 1D shirt." She joked and Niall laughed who was sitting in a chair texting away.

"No worries love, I'll make sure to have you some sent over to your apartment. Just wear the I heart Niall one out while with Harry."

She laughed as she sat in Harry's lap since every seat was now taken.

"Did Harry beg you to come to this too?" Zayn joked and Harry scoffed, "Whatever."

She laughed, "Sort of."

"Did not!"

She didn't bother to go into details and pick on Harry although technically he never gave her a choice in the matter.

For the next thirty minutes the group sat around just talking until it was time for the guys to go on. She found herself standing next to Sophia on the side of the stage a bit excited to watch it all unfold. Of course in the end,Sophia happened to be right. She didn't think it would be as crazy as it was. Between the amount of screams for each of the boys and the crowd singing along she wasn't sure if the boys actually sang or not. It was interesting to witness she would say that.

Once the show was over her she waited with Sophia while the guys changed and got everything ready to leave.

"And it's finally happened." Sophia said causing Londyn to look up from her phone, her dark hair masking her eyes now, "What did?"

"You're officially Harry's new mystery lady." Sophia replied, chuckling as she showed her the pictures, one from the first day they hung out with the guys and the second from when he carried her on his back from Liam's. How anyone even got that picture is what she wanted to know.

"I couldn't be happier." She responded sarcastically as she brushed her hair from her face. Sophia just started laughing and the boys walked out of the room they occupied.

"What are you laughing at?" Liam asked his girlfriend and she chuckled and handed him the phone.

"Hey my new boyfriend." Londyn joked as she linked arms with Harry. She could instantly smell his cologne and she would have normally made fun of his hair which was now pushed back with some headband but it honestly didn't look bad on him.

He shot her a weird look, "Is there something I don't know or...."

"Just that no one can be friends with you, mate." Liam interjected as he tossed the phone to Harry.

Harry groaned as he scrolled through the article and looked over at Londyn, his green eyes now sympathetic.

"I'm sorry."

"Not your fault."

Harry shrugged and handed Sophia her phone back.

"So what now?"

"Well, we can leave but we can't necessarily walk down the street now can we? So we can either wait it out here for a while or you can ride with me although someone may notice me."

"Seriously?...if you say because I'm Harry Styles I'll punch you."

Harry started laughing, "Well..."

She shoved him lightly and he placed his arm around her, "Let's go. I'm starving and I can at least get food if we leave."

"Fineee."

"Hey, we are leaving."

"Why are you always making her leave?"

"I don't!"

Londyn laughed and waved goodbye at everyone as Harry grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the door they had walked in. It was blocked off by a fence and it was the back of the venue so it was pretty closed off from people.

"Kind of creepy back here." She whispered and he laughed, tugging her over to his car.

"You drove?!"

"Well yeah..."

"Can't believe it."

He rolled his eyes as he opened the door for her. Once they were safely inside she looked over at him, "Should I be scared?"

He laughed, "About my driving? No."

"About what's behind those gates when the guards open them."

"Zombies? Well..."

"Shut up."

"Nah, it's pretty safe until we reach the street, but it's dark so no one will notice probably."

"Ok." She stated as he began to drive.

"Good show by the way."

"Thank you." He replied, his eyes staying on the road although he smiled.

"I was going to throw up if I heard someone else yell how much they love you though..."

"Of course."

"All under the age of 18 but still..."

"What can I say? I'm hot." He joked and she busted out laughing, "No you didn't..."

He chuckled, "Hey how old are you anyways?"

"You never ask a lady her age, Mr. Styles."

He shook his head with a grin, "Well, I'll let you know when I do."

She punched his arm lightly and he laughed, "I'm kidding! I just realized I didn't know. Jeez."

"How old are you?" She questioned and he chuckled, "21."

"21?!"

"Are you about to tell me you're 35?"

She laughed, "No, 23. Just thought we were the same age."

"It's only two years, love."

"True. I already knew I was wiser and smarter so makes sense."

"Oh whatever!"

The two laughed as he continued to drive, "Where are we going?"

"I want tacos. Do you like tacos?" He asked seriously and she couldn't help but laugh, "Yeah, I do."

"Good, I'm going to get some and then head home."

"Well ok." She chuckled as she relaxed against the seat. She was a bit tired from all the madness from today that was for sure.

Once Harry got enough tacos to feed the whole band, even though they weren't with them, they headed back to his apartment.

"Gonna be able to eat all those?" She teased as he closed the door behind them.

"Guess we will see!"

She chuckled as she fell onto the couch, clicking on her email to see if her boss had sent her anything. What she got instead was a bunch of emails from people she didn't know asking her about Harry.

"How did these reporters get my email address? They are better than I give them credit for." She stated scrolling through a few only stopping to read ones that had funny subjects. If she couldn't get rid of them she might as well find the humor in it.

Harry laughed as he shoved his face with his second taco.

"Wait. You dated Taylor Swift?"

Harry immediately groaned, "What world do you live in? Really. I wanna live there."

"Sorry I'm not up to date on celebrity couples! Oh my god..." She spoke her mind immediately clicking.

"What?"

"Her new album, all the songs, they are about you. You're the asshole. Oh my god..." She said slowly. She listened to that cd more than she should admit and it now was all crashing down around her. Harry had to ruin everything.

Harry stared at her unsure what to say really, "Uh..."

"I'll never listen to that cd the same again...and I now kind of don't know what to believe..."

"What do you mean?"

"Like who you really are..."

Harry frowned, "You don't even know her so she could be lying. And plus, I'm sure they aren't all about me!"

"I don't know, it's pretty obvious now that I know this..."

"So what? I mean, who she thinks I am and who you think I am can be two different things you know?"

"True, but I'm sure she thought of you differently before you dated so..."

"Yeah but that also was like two years ago, Londyn. So even if I was like that why do I still have to be that guy? Maybe I was shitty to her and I probably deserved all those songs, but who I am here with you is not that person. Even if she makes a very convincing argument." He stated before dropping the half eaten taco back onto the wrapper on the table.

She sat quietly as he quickly got up and headed to the bathroom. He was done eating after this talk that was for sure. She heard the sink turn on and she breathed in before forcing herself from the couch. She really had to remember he had feelings. Regardless if he ever showed them. She finally walked slowly to the bathroom door and leaned against the door frame as he finished brushing his teeth.

"Harry?"

His eyes met hers in the mirror and she sighed, "I'm sorry. "

He shrugged and she let out a sigh, leaning her head against the frame, "You're like my best friend. Seriously. I don't care what some stupid girl has to say about you. I like you. Plus, we aren't dating so I don't give a shit what you do to them."

Harry turned around to face her, his serious eyes in full force. If there was anything he did best besides singing it was working his eyes to his advantage.

"The truth about all of that crap is that I got scared, ok? I was young and stupid and I just didn't know who to be or how to be in love even though I liked her. I just couldn't let myself do it. It's not that I intentionally set out to destroy her or something, I was just, scared." He replied shrugging his shoulders, a bit embarrassed from his confession.

"I've never told anyone that so that can be our first secret." He added and she grinned weakly, "Ok."

Without another word she gently grabbed his hand and pulled him to the couch before turning the television on. She kicked off her shoes and he did the same before laying down with her which apparently became something they always did together.

"You're not like my best friend, Londyn. You are my best friend." He whispered to her once they were settled and trying to watch a movie. He truly meant that too, he hadn't been as comfortable with someone like he was with her in such a long time. He forgot what he felt like. She turned her head to look up at him. His arm propping his head up so he had to look down at her.

He flashed her a smile before kissing her cheek and looking back at the screen.

"You know, there was no reason for you to be scared..."

He looked back down at her immediately, waiting for her to continue.

"You should have just been you, you know? That would have been enough. You really don't give yourself enough credit."

He grinned in appreciation. She really did make him feel better most of the time and he definitely couldn't even be remotely angry at her.

"Plus, she's so awkward so there's that..."

He busted out laughing and she continued, "Come on, that dancing makes me uncomfortable! Am I the only one?!"

"Seriously, the guys hate it so bad." He said through his laughter.

"Oh god, is she going to be at that award show?"

"I believe so."

"I just can't watch..." She said seriously.

"No worries, we will have a few drinks and you can sit by Louis who will be laughing the whole time."

"This is going to be fun."

He chuckled, "Yes it will. Which reminds me, we leave in two days, I have your ticket. You're sitting with me obviously..."

"Because you're Harry Styles." She teased and he chuckled, "Right, and the girls that do our wardrobe and hair are pretty pumped that they will have a girl to work on for once."

"Well why can't I do that myself?"

"Well why would you want to when they are willing to do it?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Good point but still..."

"But still, you're stubborn, I get it. But they are doing it."

"Fine..."

He smiled and she rolled her eyes.

"Going to be fun I tell you. Do you know who anyone is that will be there besides Taylor?"

She glared at him and he laughed, "What?! I'm just saying, you live in your own world. I don't know what goes on there besides apparently Taylor Swift sing alongs."

"Shut up."

He chuckled, wrapping his arm around her, "I'm kidding. Sort of."

"No you're not."

He laughed, "Ok, I'm not. But I like Londyn's world, it's nice here."

"Oh we are in it now?"

"Well of course. You're here aren't you?"

"Yes, but we are in your place."

"True, but being with you makes me forget about everything else going on, so that's why it can be anywhere as long as you're there."

She locked eyes with him and he grinned, "Now shush, I've missed most of this because of you."

"Have not."

He immediately covered her mouth with his hand and she tried to pry it off only to give up and lay back on his arm. He chuckled moving his hand from her and she shoved him although she was laying in the crook of his arm.

"Seriously, you're mean."

He chuckled, his lips now pressed to her temple.

"Not so." He mumbled his free hand still wrapped around her. She sighed before cuddling closer to him which he didn't seem to object, just pulled the cover to them, his fingers aimlessly tracing over her back. He laughed at something that happened on the movie he was watching and she couldn't help but realize how comfortable he was around her. she liked him like this and if anything, she refused to believe this wasn't the real him...

Seriously, thank you for subscribing and recommending. There's nothing better than coming back from a writing hiatus and feeling loved! Ha.

In other news, Taylor Swift. Yes. I went there. Haha. She won't be in the story though..however what I said about her dancing is truly how I feel...I can't be the only one!
