Immortality Unwished For

In chemistry, she was partnered up with Edward. (According to the teacher it was done completely random by the computer.)

It was a small project where each group was assigned an element and they had to do a whole bunch of research: like who discovered it and how it's used in the world. When she walked over to Edward; she showed she wasn't happy about being partnered with him.

She sits next to Edward and bangs her head slightly on the wooden desk.

"No need to be so melodramatic, Ella." Edward rolled his eyes.

Ella, who still had her head on the desk, turned to Edward and pretended to be mad and then just broke into a smile and then to a frown. Bipoloar, much?

"I hate chemistry, I barely passed it on my sophmore year in Long Beach. I barely got a B."

"Think of it as a second chance. You don't get a lot of second chances in life."

Ella rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, well, I'm living proof you can get three."

"Mr. Cullen and Ms. Swan, you get the element Lithium."

"Yes." Ella cheered to herself. Lithium was going to be an easy element.

"You will do a five page essay and a powerpoint, as well, so be prepared. You have three weeks to get it done."

"Okay, you do essay and I'll do powerpoint?" Ella suggested. "I'm great at the computer."

"Fine."

"Yay, I'm gonna put the song from Evanescence Lithium from their latest album." She said.

"You do that." Edward smiled.

In Art class, Ella's 'What I Fear the Most' drawing was put up on the wall, along with Alice and some other people.

Ms. Angil liked Ella's red eyes because they held so much emotion inisde of them.

Now there were learning about shades and how to shade in drawing propertly. Alice had something on her mind all through out class and Ella didn't need to read her mind to know.

"Is there something on your mind, Alice?"

"What do you think of a birthday party?" Her eyes glowed in happiness.

"Sorry. I don't think I'm going to be here for my birthday."

"Why?"

"Some friends came over and are taking me somewhere after lunch for my birthday."

"Those tattooed and pierced boys?"

"They have names, Alice."

"But--"

"Look, you're planning on making a party for Bella so join mine with hers, if you want, I could care less."

"Great idea! Two parties at once. Just us though, vampires." She whispered the last part, so low that no one heard except for Ella.

"Just don't go over the top. Something not so fancy, like cake, I love cake and just opening presents."

Alice then froze, she had the look that she was having a vision so Ella stayed quiet until Alice snapped out of it. She turned to me with a serious look.

"Who is the one that goes by the name of Synyster?"

"Brian, why?"

She bit her bottom lip and avoided Ella's gaze.

"What did you see?" She whispered to Alice. "Don't make me read your mind." She threaten.

"He's going to kiss you."

Ella's eyes widen.

"Where... when?"

"Well, it looked like in the school hall just outside the cafeteria. He took hold of your shoulders and gently slammed you against--"

"Okay, no details. Thanks for the warning."

"You're welcome, but um..." She had something else to say.

"What?"

"Well, you sort were... kissing him back."

"Alice, he's like six years older than me." Ella said with a laugh. "Don't worry."

Alice laughed a bit nervously. "Right."

The bell rang again and Ella headed down to French class with Mrs. Jacque, another class with Edward, but it was the last class.

Ella groaned when the seat next to Jessica was occupied by some girl. Her eyes shifted to Edward like magnet and he had a smirk on his face. She rolled her eyes as he patted the seat of the desk next to him.

She walked over to the desk.

"You planned this, didn't you?"

"I just have a few questions for you about your friends."

"What about them?"

"Take a seat." He gestured.

Ella sighed and took the seat and turned her body towards Edward. Her left elbow on the desk and her chin on her open palm and she gestured Edward she was ready to listen.

"So, Monsieur Cullen, what is it you wish to know about: Matt, Brian, James, Zachery and Johnny?" She used her best French accent.

"Why are they here?"

"They're humans, Edward." She pointed out.

"I know that, but why are they here?"

"You may not know but it's my--"

"Birthday, I know." He cut her off.

"They're here for my birthday, we got really close during the tours, they're like my brothers. Like you, Emmet and Jasper are."

Edward almost winced when he heard Ella consider him as a brother.

"They're not dangerous."

"Well, not all of them see you as a sister." He said looking away.

"Brian, right?"

"You read my mind."

"No, Alice told me something. She had a vision."

"About?"

"Nothing important."

Ella smirked. He gave her a 'tell me, please?' look and she sighed.

"She just saw Brian kiss me and me responding to the kiss." She said quickly and at the corner of her eye she saw Edward's muscles tense. "But, now that I know where and when, I'll make sure it doesn't happen."

His muscles relax a bit.

"Edward, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you're jealous." She teased.

"No." He answered a little too quickly.

Ella couldn't help but to smile from ear to ear.

"Riiiiiight. And my favorite color is pink!" Ella flipped her hair in a girlie way.

"Ms. Swan, are we going to have trouble this year again?" Mrs. Jacque snapped and slammed her ruler on Ella's desk making Ella jump in surprise.

"No, Madame. Just having a friendly conversation with Mr. Cullen."

"Is about French class? Which I doubt, so please remain quiet!"

"Yuppers." Ella pressed her lips together.

"Mrs. Jacque is out to get me!" Ella said sitting down next to Josh in the cafeteria.

"She just hates your charisma, babe." Josh said, pressing his lips against her lightly.

Ella giggled.

"Yeah. Oh, the Avenged boys are coming to take me somewhere for my birthday. They're going to pick me up."

"All right." Josh smiled.

Ella liked how he wasn't the jealous type or the obesessive type like Jason. Aubrey then let out a squeal as she looked past Ella and spotted Johnny at the entrance of the cafeteria.

She practically ran to him. Aubrey jumped on Johnny and he catched her easily and they got into a deep passionate kiss.

"Thank God, Aubrey has classes because I could not watch them being all over each other." Ella said.

Josh walked with her hand in hand towards the boys. The whole cafeteria stopped and watched as if it were a soap opera show.

Edward had his eyes on Brian and was getting mad about his sexual thoughts about Ella and that Zacky wasn't far behind either.

[Stay calm, Edward.] Alice cooed.

Josh and the boys greeted each other.

"Don't worry, dude, we'll take good care of your girl." Matt winked with a smirk.

"Yeah, I'm sure." Josh said with sarcasm.

Ella laughed.

"Well, let's go."

"Wait, I want to meet Edward." Brian said.

"Why?" Josh asked.

"Because I told them about the Cullens and he was interested in Edward. Why don't you guys go to the bus while I introduce Brian to Edward, okay?"

"Don't take long." Jimmy yelled as they walked out of the cafeteria.

Ella turned to Brian.

"I swear if you say anything to Josh I will cut both of your balls!" Ella hissed and her eyes dangerous.

Brian covered his crotched with his hands. She rolled her eyes. She grabbed his shirt and dragged him towards the Cullen table, where Bella was, of course.

"Oh, how did you know I like it rough?" Brian said teasingly in Ella's ear.

"Hey, guys!" Ella beamed. "This is Brian Haner, otherwise known as Synyster fucking Gates from Avenged Sevenfold. These are: Alice, Edward and of course Bella, my cousin. Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett already graduated." Ella pointed at each of them as she mentioned their names.

[Why did you bring him here?] Edward asked.

[He wanted to meet you. I told him about you... on tour, so yeah.] Ella said back, or thought back, whatever.

Brian shaked Edward's hand and he was amazed he was stronger than he looked.

"Well, we gotta go!" Ella said dragging Brian out of the cafeteria and down the empty hallway just as Alice had described.

She walked fast in front of him in long strides. She was avoiding any chance of the vision coming true and was reliefed when she and Brian reached the bus and nothing happened.

"Oh, Ella." Jimmy said, as he had his hands over her eyes and they led inside a place.

She felt the difference of temperatures of the rooms.

"Yes?" Ella asked, her voice full of excitement.

"You know how you always wanted snakebites?" Zacky asked next to her ear.

She squealed. "No way!"

"Yes way!" Jimmy took his hands off her eyes and they were in a piercing and tattoo parlor.

Ella's mouth opened wide in a smile.

"This is our gift, we found the best and safest piercing place for you so you can get those snakebites." Matt placed his hands on her shoulders.

She turned around and hugged Matt.

"We'll pay for them, of course, oh and for any tattoos you want as well." Johnny added.

"Ready?" asked Bob, the piercing guy. He had a whole bunch on his face.

Ella was nervous, so she was a vampire, but only half and pretty much still felt pain.

She nodded as her answer.

She closed her eyes and then felt something sharp go through her lip and she held back a moan of pain and tears. She felt the pain again.

"All done." Bob said. "Now, you can chose any design for your tattoo."

Ella walked around the wall, with a swollen lip and looked at the designs.

"How 'any can I 'et?" Ella mumbled.

"What?" Brian asked.

She rolled her eyes and wrote it on her phone and showed it to them.

"Oh! How many you want." Brian smiled.

She gestured to her lower back and pointed at the vines with thorns with a rose in the middle.

Then she gestured at her upper right arm and pointed at the fire. Zacky grinned because he had the same one, the design, but his was on his wrist.

Ella again, gestured and pointed at her right shoulder blade and pointed at the Pentagon Star.

"Three? At the same time?" Bob asked.

Ella nodded.

"Before my 'cle finds 'ut." Ella shrugged.

"Is your uncle going to get mad?" Zacky asked, as he helped her get off the bus.

Half her body ached because of the tattoos which had a gauze over them. Bob told her it would heal in a week or two and to be careful when she showered and he also said to clean the snakebites before going to sleep and when waking up to keep them clean and avoid infection.

"His cruiser isn't there." She said. "I'll just have to hide my face for a while and the tattoos are coverable."

"Well, we're leaving tomorrow morning, we're working on our new album." Matt said with a sad look.

"I'm gonna be in Los Angeles in December for Almost Acoustic Christmas, I'll visit."

"Hey! We're doing Almost Acoustic Christmas, with KROQ, right?" Johnny beamed.

"Yeah!" Ella cheered. "I declare group hug!"

They all hugged each other.

"I'll walk you to the door." Brian offered as the rest of the guys went back in the bus.

Ella shoved her hands in her jean pockets and looked down at the ground as she walked. As she crossed the lawn she looked up to Bella's window and saw the light on, she figured Edward was with her and she couldn't help but to feel like trading places with Bella.

Brian's heavy footsteps on the wooden porch brought her back and she snapped her face up to Brian and gave him a genuine smile.

"Thanks a lot, Brian. All of you guys. You really made this day to--"

As you could've guessed he kissed her on the lips and cupped her face. When he realized she didn't kiss back he pulled out just inches.

Ella didn't know what to do, she just got kissed by one of the hottest punk rockers and she didn't know what to make of it.

She pulled out fully and there was an awkward silence.

"Good night, Brian." She whispered and opened the front door but his placed his hand on her shoulder and she stopped.

"I wanted to do that since I first saw you in the mansion... but..."

"I was seventeen and you thought it was creepy." Ella answered for him and he nodded. "I'm really trying to have something with Josh, Brian, I really don't need drama in my life because I have enough."

"I know. But, if you and Josh ever break up... give me a call." He smirked and winked and walked away.

Ella watched as he looked back, walking backwards, and blew her kisses.

"SEE YOU IN LOS ANGELES!!!" He yelled before getting on the bus.
