Can You Walk Through the Looking-Glass Now?

Fairytales all evolve from a dark, sinister origin. The originals could eat at our souls and make us cring at the very graphic nature they posess. For example, I bet you didn't know that the evil queen from Snow White was cursed by the dwarfs to spend the rest of her life with her feel nailed into tin shoes and walk upon hot coals that materialized under her feet.

I bet you also didn't know that Rumpelstiltskin was an imp, sent by the devil to entrap the 'fair maiden' and make her his slave.

But, these are the past. The fairytales we know and love are cheery, incredibly naive characters prancing around in a pathetic attempt to woo a charming prince or a damsel in distress.

The fairytales here may not be so recognizable once I get through with them...
