The Joker’s P.O.V

Damn it! I thought punching the wall furiously while laughing to my tears. She had done it again, she ran from me. Why did I turn her, the best? I knew that she could kill but she never did it because she was afraid that she would like it. She’s not an angel she’s a killer.

“RED!” I called angrily

“Yes boss?”

“Where is your sister?” I asked him

“I don’t know.” He said

“Yes you do. Now TELL ME!” I said pointing a gun at his head

“I don’t know.” He repeated

I shot him in the leg making him fall to his knees

“Are you sure? The next one is aiming at your brains.” I said coldly

“Think twice if you don’t tell me I’ll let you live to see Ashley die in front of you!” I yelled

“She ran away from this freaking place!” He said

I sighed, useful information I thought sarcastically. I went to my room, I took out another gun and I went towards the van. Ashley was going to get it this time.

Ashley’s P.O.V

I had been worried, Bruce hadn’t slept at home. I was afraid that The Joker had caught him or any of the mob guys. The Joker must have know my now who Batman is but the real problem is this baby.

I caressed my stomach, I had to go to the doctor. I had to tell Bruce, I had to tell my father.

“Alfred tell me how are Rose and Jeremy?” I asked

“Jeremy is taller and Rose is busier.” Alfred replied

“I really miss him.” I said

“When are you going to tell Master Wayne Ashley?” Alfred said

“What?” I asked

“I heard you last night, you’re not sick. You are pregnant aren’t you? That’s why you arrived without any signs of fight to this house.” Alfred stated

I had been caught, great job.

“I can’t tell him.” I said

“You are his fiancé.” Alfred remembered me smiling

He was trying to be compassionate with me but deep down he was thinking bad things about me. The fiancé of his beloved Bruce might be pregnant with a child of The Joker, great scandal.

“I have to go to the doctor, please Alfred keep this a secret.” I begged him my eyes filling with tears.

How worse can my life get? With a child everything got even worse besides the fact that I loved The Joker and I had to marry Bruce.

I went to the hospital and I made several exams, most of them about my health and my bruises. The baby was fine, I was 3 weeks pregnant. In 2 months I would be able to know who the father was but deep inside I knew who he was and I knew who I wanted him to be.

When I came back to the mansion, I went up the stairs to find Bruce sleeping in his bed, without a shirt showing all of his scars on his back. They hurt my eyes, they looked so fresh it make me tremble.

“Bruce?” I whispered sitting beside him

He moved lightly, he never slept. He turned to face me and his eyes shot open.

“How are you?” He asked grabbing my hand in his.

“Scared but good. Rough night?” I asked

“The mob again.” Bruce sighed

“When will this end Bruce? You can’t be Batman forever. Look at your body, it scares me how much you don’t seem to care.” I said

“Batman can’t disappear with Gotham having all of his troubles. Besides I have someone I want to protect.” Bruce said sitting on the bed, kissing me sweetly

“You do?” I asked him

“You.” Bruce said smiling at me

I smiled back at him, while shocking my head. Nobody could change his mind.

“You know he’s coming don’t you?” I asked

“I know. He has something that belongs to me.” Bruce said

“What?” I asked

“Your heart, I’m not stupid Ash. You are madly in love with him and I promise that I’ll take that to an end.” Bruce said

He doesn’t know The Joker, he’s not just going to give up.

I left Bruce resting again and I left the mansion again to meet Rose and Jeremy in their apartment. I knocked and nobody answered, I knocked again and I noticed that the door was open. I opened it carefully and I looked inside

“Rose?” I called

“Come in.” I heard her say but her voice seemed strange.

I walked towards the voice and I found him again, I knew he would come. The Joker's hand was around Rose's neck, she was backed agaisnt the wall. Jeremy was knocked out on the floor and Rose was bleeding from her forehead.

“Angel, finally I’m tired of waiting. Don’t worry I’ve had my fun now let’s go home.” The Joker said letting Rose fall to the ground

“Joker, I’m not going.” I said stepping back

“What?” The Joker said starting to laugh

“I said that you are coming.” The Joker grabbing my hair making me face him, anger boiling inside of his eyes

“Angel, angel… I’m bored of this cat and mouse game.” He said

“You made me the best.” I said

I took a gun out of his pocked and I shot him in the knee. The Joker started laughing

“I knew you were hiding something, smart.” The Joker said kissing me roughly.

I pulled away and I licked my lips.

“ASHLEY!” I heard Rose yell

I looked at her and a horror expression was on her face, I looked at myself and I was bleeding. The Joker was smiling proudly, he had just stabbed me in the abdomen.

“Joker! Leave her alone!” I heard Batman’s deep voice while I fell in someone’s arms.

“Bat boy, long time no see.” The Joker said taking a gun out.

I started screaming in pain, something wasn’t right.

“Batman, I’m going to…” I said

“I’ll deal with you later!” Batman yelled running with me in his arms while I heard Jim’s voice yell from outside of the apartment.

I woke on a hospital bed, feeling sore and dizzy.

“Why didn’t you tell me Ashley?” I heard Bruce say

“I…” I started

“You almost lost the baby.” Bruce said

“I’m sorry I didn’t say anything, I couldn’t just tell you that I was pregnant.” I said starting to cry hysterically

“I wouldn’t be mad, I’m going to be a father!” Bruce said excitedly hugging me carefully

I didn’t feel as excited as he was. He thought he was the father and he was the best choice this baby had, but there was a bigger change that The Joker was the real father. How am I going to escape the Joker without him knowing that I’m pregnant? When I find who the father is what am I going to do? Panic?
