    Whoa..this is genius. I didn't even know you could do this. I love having unnatural colors in my hair, so I think this is a good idea. You explained it very well. Also, I love the idea of it because DIY beauty is awesome. Smile

    This is so cool... I guess I am the only one who didn't know that you could use chalk in your hair. My cousins and I usually use kool-aid, at least when we had blonde in our hair. My hair is so dark now it won't do anything. I am so going to try this.

    V it does and how well depends on type of chalk and stuff so you'll have to experiment with what works for you. Thanks for reading :)

    I did this a few months back, and I loved the way it looked. The only thing I didn't like is that once I showered once , most of the other colors came out and I was only left with pale teal in my hair, making it look green. Otherwise, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely do it again this summer.

    carpe diem; Some of the chalks made specifically for this will stay in your hair longer and take more washes to get out so the process itself won't fade your hair but the washing/shampooing could. Just like it would otherwise. So to avoid that, wash It out with cold water with the shampoo etc for color treated hair and you should be just fine. And instead of using the iron technique you might be better with the blow dryer or air drying just to keep your hair more healthy.

    I assume this is fine for colour treated hair? Like red for example? It won't fade it or anything?

    THIS PART >> "(This step is optional if you have light colored hair.)" <<<

    is suppose to be at the end of step 2 not beginning of step 3 sorry ^-^;
    And the last part about the blow dryer is suppose to say heat not heart but that's all. I hope you can all read around it and that it won't complicate things. Yay for my first tutorial =]
