Dogs are for life, not just for Christmas. It takes a LOT more thought into getting a dog and they should NEVER be given as just presents.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this because it made me think about adopting a pet. At one point it made me think "Oh, the poor dog, I better adopt it right away" but then at another point it made me feel like my family might not be ready for a dog yet, because I don't want to cause more pain to it. I definitely will consider adopting a dog when me and my family knows we're ready.
