Peanut Butter Krisps
Peanut Butter Krisps are a delicious take on the traditional Rice Krispie Treats. The regular marshmallow treats are an excellent snack, but they can get old and boring. By adding peanut butter to this old fashioned treat, you can create a brand new treat that you are sure to enjoy! This recipe only takes about half an hour and is fairly easy, even if you aren’t familiar with the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 4 cups of miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 6 cups of any brand of rice crisp cereal
Materials
- Large saucepan
- Large baking pan
Directions
- Melt three tablespoons of butter in a large saucepan on a low to medium heat.
- Stir until the butter has completely melted.
- Reduce the heat to low.
- Add the 4 cups of mini marshmallows and stir until they are completely melted.
- Add a half cup of peanut butter and stir until the mixture has an even consistency.
- Remove the mixture from the heat.
- Add the rice crisp cereal and stir until all the pieces are evenly coated.
- Place the new mixture into the baking pan and let it cool.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
