Watergate Cake
The Watergate cake is an amazing cake and sweet. It's so moist in the end and it's something your family will fall in love with. All you need are few ingredients. The cake and frosting will come out as a light green. The nuts are optional but it is a pistachio cake and frosting so if you have any nut allergies, I wont recommend it.
Ingredients:
- 1 3 1/2 oz box instant pistachio pudding
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup walnuts/crushed (Optional)
- 1 cup ginger ale
- 3 eggs
Mix these ingredients together and you do not have to grease the pan. Bake at 350 degrees in the oven for 40 minutes. Set it on the stove top in order for it to cool.
Frosting:
- 1 large cool whip
- 1 box instant pistachio pudding
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- Spread with nuts (optional too)
Mix together with whatever mixer you use.
Frost the cake and enjoy! I know that this has become my favorite cake and I hope that it will become yours. This is being passed down from my family to yours. I am sure you can also mix and match this type of cake with any flavor of instant pudding. Be creative!
