Spaghetti
I love making Spaghetti and wish to share my way of making this dish with all of you.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 box of spaghetti pasta or any pasta you like
- 1 16 oz can of diced tomatoes (I use Hunts, but any brand is fine.)
- 1/2 a cup of diced mushroom (I use fresh, but canned will work.)
- 1/2 a cup of diced onion
- 1/2 a cup of diced bell pepper
- 2/3 cup of ketchup
- 1 16 oz can of tomato soup (I use Campbells.)
- 1 regular size bottle of spaghetti sauce. (I use Ragu and Prego depending on what is in my cabinet.)
- 3 tbsp dried italian seasoning
- 1/2 tbsp dried sage
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
All of the seasonings can be changed to suit your own tastes.
Process
- Brown the ground beef until half of it is cooked then add the onion, mushrooms and bell peppers.
- Cook until the ground beef is cooked all the way and the vegetables are soft.
- Drain the mixture and then add the diced tomatoes. (I usually crush my tomatoes up in the pot with a potatoe masher, but you do not have to do this.)
- Add the seasonings, tomato soup, ketchup, cheese and sauce into the pot.
- Bring mixture to a boil, put on lid and lower the heat down to a simmer.
- Simmer for an thirty minutes to an hour.
- Cook the pasta before serving.
Note
This dish is perfect to serve up with my baked sausage meat balls. You can find the recipe already posted. Enjoy.
