Peach Cobbler

I went to the Famer's Market the other day and found some wonderful peaches and decided to make a cobbler with them. Here is my recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 8 to 10 nice sized peaches
  • 8x8 oven safe dish
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat the over to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash and carefully peel the peaches.
  3. Slice the peaches into cresent moon shapes. (You can also just dice them into bite size peaces. Which ever you are comfortable with.)
  4. Melt the stick of butter in the microwave.
  5. Mix the flour, sugar and milk together. (I find it easier to mix the ingredients up with a wisk, but a fork or spoon will work.)
  6. Add the melted butter to the mixture and stir gently.
  7. Pour the mixture in the oven safe dish and then add the peaches.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the mixture is fully cooked and the top is golden brown.

Notes:

You can add a gram cracker topping if you want. Just crush some gram cracker in a plastic baggie and mix it with melted butter until all of the crumbs are moist. The just sprinkle the topping over the cobbler and bake. This is great with vanilla ice cream. I hope you all enjoy this recipe as much as I do making it.
